Who else but JRR would write a story to show of three languages he developed. And for no other reason.
Additionally, not sure if folks are aware or remember, but he (a man who literally wrote the Oxford Dictionary) argued with an editor & publisher about the pluralization of "dwarves" when releasing "The Hobbit".

@Alexr al'Petros I read all three once a year, like Christopher Lee. I am currently reading the Two Towers, I am at the part where Gandalf's group meets the Grey Company. @Aylward Leamh I know that. It's one of the greatest 'burn' moments of Tolkien. It reminds me of Aslan's answer in Narnia: ''I was there when it was written.''
