  • I feel the same as you, I always choose the good options and never wish to kill a good npc if I have the choice. The last Zelda game I played was "Skyward Sword", I'll revisit them one day for sure. Next time I visit my game shop I'll definitely have to see if they have Inquisition :D
I'll have to look at Dark Arisen, I have heard of it and it does look enjoyable. Kingdoms of Amalur has been on my radar for a while, I have watched quite a few video reviews on it and am definitely going to pick it up now! I never really replay games, except Zelda games, I have replayed Ocarina of Time and I have played Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks for the Nintendo DS 3 times (my favourite DS games). I did have a bit of trouble with The Last of Us, especially when there are massive hordes... To me Uncharted 1 got a bit tedious (the story was alright) but to me it just felt like shooting wave after wave of enemies, #2 was such a step up and has one of my favourite "tutorial" levels, the heist was so cool. Have you ever played any games in the Assassins Creed series?
That is the reason why I got my PS3, before it broke I played the Sly Cooper trilogy, Ratchet and Clank games (even though they are aimed at children, I found them really fun) as well as The Uncharted trilogy and The Last of Us and a few others. I haven't played the first Fable, but I spent so many hours playing Fable 2 and 3. Fable 2 brings back so many good memories :) . Sure I'd always be willing to know of more fantasy games ;) .
I'm not the best at first person shooters either, I typically stay away from them, unless they have a good story like Fallout, and even then I have to play on easy difficulty :embarassed: ..... Witcher 3 does look fantastic (I've only played Witcher 2 - which I loved). Inquisition is definitely on my "to buy" list. I don't have any of the current-gen consoles (I have an Xbox 360 and a broken PS3) but Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 are definitely making me consider saving up as well.
That is absolutely wonderful (not that you had to experience all these negative events) but the fact that this community helped you get through it. From what you have been through and overcome you deserve this happiness :) and hopefully it will last for a long time. The Keeper of Chronicles is officiating your wedding, not many people can say that!

Weirdly enough I haven't played Inquisition, I have watched a play-through on YouTube though. I don't know your opinion on science-fiction but The Mass Effect trilogy, is one of my favourite games as well.
I haven't read any Dragon Age fanfiction but I love the games. On another note I would like to personally thank you for making me feel welcome :)
Fortunately for me I just feel shy when talking to new people in real life, it doesn't help that I find introductory small-talk just forced and awkward :/ . Yes I probably am too left brained, you seem to be a very creative person. Once I finish WoT I plan to write a few short stories (basically fanfiction) on some of the other series I have read, I may do some on WoT, if I am proud/happy enough with them I will post them.
Well I am starting my first year at University at the end of September studying Maths. I don't know what career path I want to go down just yet, but Maths has always been a passion. Apart from that I like keeping privy with the latest science news (I am quite a geek :) ), anything that increases my knowledge I like doing. I also enjoy gaming (mainly RPGs). As is already clear my other passion is reading (fantasy) however I also like reading Classics, such as Jane Eyre and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
Now to the boring points :indifferent: . I would say I am an introvert (by choice), I do have a small group of friends but we all prefer doing our own things, and unfortunately they don't really share my love for fantasy, hopefully I can meet new people at University who love fantasy books (even better if it is WoT) as much as me. I always get rather embarrassed because compared to other people it looks as if I lead a boring life, but I get fulfillment out of the things I do, so I am happy.
I am enjoying it a lot actually. 65 forums!!!! I am taking my time to post "meaningful" posts to get up to 25 rather than just short ones.
Hello Aryawnah Sedai, thanks for your welcome. I would like to take you up on your offer of help to find an avatar. Is there any specific information you would like me to give to help narrow the search?
Hello, Aryawnah Sedai. I heard you are willing to help newbies? That's me :) I'm a visitor right now as I haven't begun posting, but intend to apply for full membership as soon as possible. I've read... let me see... *goes to check her Kindle and try to figure out which WoT book she's on* I'm on Lord of Chaos, Book Six, right now so please no spoilers ^u^ I mean, I did accidentally figure out- oh wait, uh, probably shouldn't put that on the visitor messages which are visible... I'm going to go make an introduction thread after this, so any suggestions for Ajah (when that becomes an issue) would be helpful, as well as help with avatars...? :)
Hello, Aryawnah Sedai. Thank you for your welcome to Tar Valon. I do have a question. I notice that people use the word "pocket", i.e. being in someone's pocket, etc. I am almost completely through the membership manual and it is (completely) possible that I just missed that part. But, ah if you have a second would you mind explaining the "pocket"? Unless it's a "I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you" Aes Sedai thing. In that case, I'll just wait, lol. Thanks again for the welcome!
I think I've got it the correct size now. It's a tiny bit distorted, but not too badly I hope. I'm extremely attached to this picture since it's always been my go-to Saowynn avatar, but if it's just not working, let me know. I'm sure I can manage to find something else that works. Thanks for your help!
Thanks for your note, Aryawnah. I had noticed that myself. I will be tinkering with it to see if I can get it a more appropriate size without distorting the picture :)
I think I picked the only one that wasn't already at the perfect size (that must have taken ages!). It wasn't intentional! :look: After seeing several Christmas-themed avatars, I couldn't resist the urge to make one myself. Holiday avatars are pretty fun. :pleased-1: Thank you for the second link. I'll probably continue to use the cropped version, but I've saved it just in case I want to put something beneath the avatar's arms for a future holiday avatar, or something like that.
That is a lot of avatars! After looking through the entire lot, I narrowed it down to six, then three, and finally this one. I'm almost tempted to wait and see what else you have, but it's taken me long enough at this point, I think. :look:

Thank you very much for the list! It was very helpful. ^_^
