Welcome back! It's hard to stay away from this place - I have also been on a long absence from the site, but came back. Hopefully the RL monster stays away! I don't know if or how much the site has changed since you were here last, but if you have any questions, do send me a message. :D

Welcome back! I have to ask... Where did you get those fabulous quote signatures?

No harm in asking! I made them myself using gimp. I found the chapter icons online and just picked some of my favorite quotes I knew off-hand. I'm planning another reread of the series soon, my first reread of the series in its entirety, and I plan on scouting for more good quotes!

Nice!! Did you do a color match to the forums or are they transparent? If you're okay with it, I'd love to borrow the idea. :look:

They're transparent. I've been thinking about redoing them, as the font looks a little fuzzy to me. By all means, borrow away!

I started reading the WoT when I was in middle school, and back then my tight-knit group of friends were all into it. We would endlessly discuss characters, and plot points, and the WoT world at large. We dressed up as characters for more than a couple Halloweens.

Jump ahead in time, I'm in my late 20's and on a bit of a nostalgia kick. With the promise of Brandon Sanderson finishing the series, I began to poke around the web for some WoT information, and stumbled across merchandise over at Ta'veren Tees. I was perusing the jewelry, and sure enough the Aes Sedai ring caught my eye. I chuckled and kind of joked to myself that I couldn't purchase one because I hadn't earned it.

A few weeks later I decided to see who was out there, as far as a WoT community. I found TV.net and after reading the little introduction on the homepage, joined shortly after in 2013. I was around for a little while before I had to take my LOA. I love that this site offers a chance to "work" towards becoming Aes Sedai or Gaidin! I think it's wonderful.
