After what seems a millenium, I have finally finished my Re-read of PoD and have begun my Re-read of Winter's Heart. I have only read through Knife of Dreams so I am very excited to finally finish the series. What were some of your favorite moments from Winter's Heart?

Same here. It's all the parts with a certain character that go on and on . . .
Still, there is something important that happens in that book :)

Yeah, the end is great. Actually probably one of my favorite endings in the whole series. The whole book was slow and then bam, suddenly everything happens. It was great.

Is that the one where Elayne complains about Rand a lot because he
knocked her up and she's sort of mad about it but she also looooves him so much?
Because I think that was the book where Elayne really started to annoy me.

I am already like 100 + pages into it so hopefully it will go fast. I think this one was pretty slow, I agree the ending was AWESOME. I think book 10 was even more slow though. I gotta get through the series though...been WAY too long for me to NOT know the ending.

I was amazed at how much of Winter's Heart I had forgotten. It was almost like reading it for the first time. How is the re-read going Ixi? I'm about halfway through The Gathering Storm now. I remember this one a lot better.

I just finished reading Winter's Heart for the first time. :) It really dragged for me. It took me a year to finally read the complete thing (after two other starts where I got bored and stopped,) where it has only taken me a month for each previous installment. I also liked the ending, but I wish more of the book was like it. It would have been nice to have more action and plot in the earlier part of the book too. I did enjoy reading it, and I look forward to finishing the whole series.. I have just noticed that in the past few books, the amount of extra information not as relevent to the plot has started to overwhelm the majority of the novels, and it's getting to be a bit much.

;)

Lol. I felt like the previous one was like that too. It's okay. I just gotta take it slow and do what I can to work through the down times but still be excited about the fast-paced places. :)

Random: My books are all packed away because I just moved. I can't start the next book if I can't find it! :p :p

Winter's Heart and CoT could have had the padding cut out, and combined into one book, with nothing of value being lost.
