Leashed women makes me sad. Egwene experience gave me an insight into lives of damane and its depressing. There are a lot of lose ends but this one bugs me a lot.

If you squint, you can kinda see that the leashing won't last, not once it's more widely known that half the team can channel, as well, if they are taught.
