OMG a pirate wedding. My dream is to get married on a pirate ship. We'll see if that happens.
I have a pirate costume, pirate hat, pirate sword (cosplay stuff), a reeeeeally nice music steampunk pirate patch I got from a girl on etsy, 2 pairs of piratey boots, skull handkerchiefs, a skull shift knob for whenever I learn how to drive a manual car and/or own one, a red & black banner from the Maryland Renn Faire, a few other various pirate flags, tons of pirate graphic tee shirts, skull skinny jeans, pirate buttons. My car is even piratey with a piratey personalized license plate, a bumper sticker on the back that says "My other car is a pirate ship", and on my dashboard I have a bobble head of a pirate that I named "Smee", and a compass so that I know which direction I'm going.
It was an amazing wedding. My husband officiated, and I was the maid of honor. I got to pull my blunderbuss on him as part of the ceremony. We both got to quote The Princess Bride. The bride and groom came down the isle to "The Final Countdown." I could go on, but suffice it to say it was the most phenomenal wedding I've ever been a part of, and I'm including my own in that.
(Although, in fairness, I was incredibly sick and on lots of brain-muddling medication for my own and don't remember a lot of it except for the part where my mother was so late the musicians almost left. :P)My old car had some piratey decorations (she was nicknamed "The Beige Pearl"), but I haven't gotten any for my current car, yet. Come to think of it, I haven't decorated my current car at all. I should really get around to fixing that.

Mainly because I am out of the social loop most of the time. :P Having been homeschooled, knowing how to network and get invites to things do not come naturally to me. Or rather, come to me at all.
I totally get that, was homeschooled for several years, exist outside of most loops.
Welcome! I had to do a double take b/c your name is similar to Etain Cerulian. I was "Wait. I thought she was from Louisiana?"
