I've been spinning for about 5-6 years now. I took a small break after my daughter was born but I've been getting back into it now that she's a bit older. Still, with everything else, it's hard to do it as much as I'd like. My partner is a metal fabricator and he makes beautiful fire toys, which is a good incentive.

Yeah, I'm a little impatient to get to 25 but I'm also not going to go batty with posts just to get there. "sigh"

Just a quick question... I know this site isn't dedicated to role play but are there forums dedicated to this somewhere on the site at some level?

We definitely have some informal role play (pretending to be novices and accepted in the Tower, practicing our weaving skills in threads or during festivals). We slip in and out of it.

Derwyn, you could probably start a role-play in our Frivolous Fun forum once you gain access if you wanted to. Can't guarantee what participation would be like, but you could try it and see :D

Hi Derwyn! How did you start getting into poi? I have a friend who would take tennis balls and put them into knee high socks and start that way. I want to get into it. I used to go to a lot of raves in years past.

Hi, sorry I'm late with your welcome (as you're now a Citizen :laugh:). I have a set of poi balls (is that the term?) and I started looking into tutorials on YouTube etc about a year ago. I was hilariously bad, but I think I need a lot more practice. With 2 kids and a job, that's the difficult part :rofl
