As many of you will have seen here, we're bringing back the Master/Mistress of Chat as a staff position responsible for managing the back-end of our IRC offerings. For this first round, it was decided to hire from within the Department of Mods and Ops, and I am very pleased to announce that Deoan Kakarot will be the new Master of Chat.
Deoan has been instrumental in maintaining our IRC offerings since the position in its previous incarnation was dissolved almost two years ago and is currently the registered owner of our chat channels and the operator of our bot Bela. It has been my sincere pleasure to work with him these last several months, and I look forward to further collaboration.
