It has been a long, and very thourough process. The Board took over an hour to deliberate. All candidates who made it to today's consideration were qualified and would be successful in this position. As a community, we would be incredibly well served by any of the applicants at this point of consideration; we are very lucky for that.
The Board of Directors has asked Vivianna Sedai of the Blue Ajah to take on the stole of Amyrlin, and she has accepted.
Viv has been a member for over 8 and a half years, and has been Aes Sedai for 8 of those years. She has held two Director positions, serving a total of 4 years at this level in our community leadership. She led the Blue Ajah for nearly 2 years, and has been a dedicated member of this Ajah throughout her membership. She has mentored 4 members, and has attended 12 of our Tower Official Events. She currently holds six gold and 4 silver merit badges recognizing her contribution in multiple areas.
I really am honored to announce her appointment.
She will be brought officially into office at 11th Anni in March, 2012.
