From the latest book...hmmmm probably Malenarin Rai, the commander of Heeth Tower in the prologue.

Dobraine is a long-standing favorite of mine. Siuan isn't minor, but she's probably my favorite character now, and of course Gareth Bryne is just my type of man. Solid, dependable, older, ruggedly handsome. Morgase threw away gold!

i couldnt agree more! tam has to be my favorite. Anyone who can sand up to cadsuane "("Watch your tongue, Aes Sedai," Tam snarled. "Have you seen him? The entire room seemed to grow darker when he entered. And that face—I've seen more emotion in the eyes of a corpse! What has happened to my son?")" like that is a very strong man and worthy of respect. and all books need that kind of a character somewhere

For some reason I like Sebban Balwer. Other favourites are Bain and Chiad and Gaul. And Hopper.

I too am not sure where the line is drawn between "minor" character and "cameo" character and "major character". I think part of my befuddlement is in some characters playing major roles in part of a book or an entire book or three, and then vanishing forever.

That said, one of my favorites is Elyas Machera. Even after all these books one of my favorite scenes is still the one where he takes Egwene and Perrin to the Tinker's camp.

I liked Aram, Tarna, Tamra Ospenya and Sheriam but something terrible happened to all of them. Maybe I'm bringing bad luck or so to characters... Must be my Aiel humor, lots of situations in the books are perfect Aiel jokes

I really liked... I wanna say Ingtar? From TGH, the dark friend who came back to the light at the end. I think that he's the only character we've seen actually doing this, after all the talk about everyone being able to come back to the light.
And, of course, Harid Fel. Is there anyone who didn't love him?

Talamanes, Narishma, Logain, Tam, all the ones mentioned. All really great characters that I like better than the main ones sometimes :look:

I was also a big fan of Ingtar.

My all time favorite though is Talmones, just because of his dry sense of humor and the way it plays off of Mat's misfortune sometimes.

TBH, I don't think it matters whether you define the character as major or minor or what have you, I just started this thread to see what characters people liked besides the typical Mat or Moiraine or Min or whatever. :cheeseeni:

And yes, for the record, Elayne and Faile are two of my favorite characters. :pleased-1:

I just got "You know nothing" in my head and for a second I forgot it was "You know nothing, Jon Snow" and thought it was "You know nothing, wetlander" from Avi to Rand. :look:

Same dumbass, different series. :P
