Thanks for the greeting guys. I was following the news feed on Facebook but had not signed up so when I got a moment I decided to jump on in.

@Ealandrelle - A pleasure to meet you. Always nice to meet people from my side of the pond. I am a Mature Student, studying English Geography and History. Yeah Jordan-Con sounded so cool. I wish I could have gone.

I studied English for 2 semesters back in my first time at Uni... I didn't get on with it very well I'm also a mature student, but I'm studying Nursing this time around. Nearly finished!

Oh awesome. Are you enjoying Nursing? I have a few friends who did Nursing, and my mother is a Home Care attendant so I know what Health Care workers have to deal with. I can not imagine the training is very easy!

I am really enjoying English actually. But Geography not so much. After this year I can drop it and just keep English and Histroy though, which is what I actually want!

I could see how History could be really interesting. I really enjoyed it at school, and had some friends who took it at Uni

Nursing is good But yes, hard! It's intensive, and a lot of work. You don't get the usual student holidays for a start

I haven't studied History since I was 12. It is interesting to come back to it after so long. I really enjoy it though. Kinda just one of those things I have loved since I was a wee un!

I can imagine it would not be the easiest thing to study. It must be rewarding though, to know that you are studying something that will let you save lives. Very admirable!

I was an English/Equine major in college and I really enjoyed it! I think someday I'd like to go back and get my Masters in Creative Writing... But that would be a ways down the road.

English Equine huh? The University I am in actually have a really strong Equine programme, (It is set in the heart of horse country in Ireland after all!) but it is usually buisness paired with it. That is awesome!

It was an Equine Business Management major I just triple majored in two kinds of Equine and Creative Writing.
I'd love to visit Ireland some day!
