i don't think so,besides, Lan is doing a pretty decent job of getting men despite his attempts not to. with spreading word, men will flock to him regardless of whether or not Rand does

Not only that, but it seems like the new Rand has much more interest in helping as many people as he can, where the old Rand saw Lan as a piece on the board to be sacrificed. Also, Nynaeve would never turn anyways. Her interest is in the Two Rivers people, and helping the rest of the world as much as it is Lan, and although she would be heartbroken she wouldn't forsake the rest of the world solely because of his death.

Pretty much this. Through the entire series every book where Nynaeve is a POV we tend to get SOMETHING about the two rivers boys and whats happened to them at least once. She might be Aes Sedai but she started as a Wisdom and try as hard as you might its hard to get rid of your roots. Like for example; Killing of Women. All three boys can't/hate doing it. You can change, but somethings won't change regardless of what happens. She'll never go to the dark one, unless forced against her will. But I have a feeling thats not going to happen much except for in the black tower.

I don't think Nynaeve would ever turn to the Shadow for any reason. First of all she's fought too hard against it and second, if she turned especially to help Lan, Lan would never forgive her.

That. I can see her turning to the shadow if Lan would, somehow, but that's not gonna happen. Lan is all out 'war against the shadow' from book one. Heir to a dead kingdom slain by the shadow. Nynaeve turning for him is just counter productive, since he'd probably kill her himself if she'd do that.

I kind of feel like one of the main characters has to be a darkfriend (from the beginning of the series its been hinted at). I think it could be Moiraine...

Desperate people do crazy stuff, but I don't think Nyneave would ever turn dark.
I've wondered if Moiraine might be a darkfriend too, playing everything nice until the very last moment where she can do the most damage. Seems unlikely.
I think it'd be interesting to see through a main character's eyes after going through a forced conversion. Maybe Egwene, she's been pissing me off, lately.

It was just weakness in the eyes of some idiotic Aes Sedai, she definitely didn't fail - even if all attending Aes Sedai would have said that. :rolleyes

By the way: I don't think, Sanderson handled said scene well, and the one, where she finally got Lan's bond neither.

Loved her line doing that. "Woman, I will take you inside that tent and teach you the meaning of obedience." (may be slightly off)

If the Forsaken promised help they would be fighting trollocs -- trollocs and Forsaken are on the same side so it would be easier just to promise not to send the army through but everyone knows that the Forsaken lie.
Nyneave is too smart (or too suspicious) to fall for their tricks!
