If there is one thing TWOT has its villains. From the cunningly ruthless Padan Fain, to The Spider herself Moghedien. Do you enjoy Lanfears seductive nature or is it Couladins eagerness to dance the spears that keeps you flippin through those pages??

Padan Fain, by far, is my favorite villain. He's a lot like the Joker from Batman in a lot of ways ... he's crazy, and just wants to see the world burn. Of course, the Joker generally succeeds because of Batman's limitations ... Fain succeeds because he's freaking badass.

Midian hit the nail on the head. Fain is my favorite villain, too. He's just creepy enough without being too Gollum-esque.

I know a lot of people hate her but I have to say I love Lanfear. This probably comes from TGH when she appears as Selene and that slow figuring out from the reader that she's actually one of the forsaken. Great character.

I'm going to have to go with Greandal. I've not been impressed by the most powerful, wicked characters. They have all had fatal flaws like any James Bond villain.
Graendal, however is a crafty , wicked woman. The voluptuous facade belies a deep thining twisted woman whose hedonistic tendencies come a close second only to her need and greed for immortality and power.

I love a villain whose rottenness and self centered nature oozes from the core. Graendal is pure selfishness. A must for any good baddie!

Lanfear has always been my favorite villian, followed by Graendal.

I agree with everything you just said! She is just wicked and nasty and does not care who knows it or who gets hurt as long as she gets what she wants.

I generally prefer the forsaken women. I think that women are more cruel than men in many thinks, and that just scares me. Because you don't get it a lot nowadays, when watching telly or reading - always a bad man isn't ?

I don't have a favorite villain yet. The villains I hate the most are the Seanchan for what they do to female channelers. Reading the passage of the Great Hunt where Egwene was collared was almost painful.

I also hate the false logic behind it. The Seanchan justify what they do by saying channelers are dangerous and should not be allowed to run loose. But it is not the One Power that made Manetheren fall, nor did it ruin Malkier, nor did it cause the Aiel War. Human cruelty, folly and selfishness were to blame each time. If everyone who is "dangerous" were to be collared, everyone would wear an a'dam.

While I agree it is wrong, I enjoyed seeing how another culture handled the female channelers.

It was a terrible experience to read about, but as you get farther along, you will see why this experience was needed. You will also probably have a much easier time coming up with a favorite villian because it seems like there is a new one around evey corner! :)

I would say Elaida, but she's so ***** incompetent.

MOD NOTE

Although it made me chuckle, I don't think swearing is appropriate in case of sensitive eyes and/or younger viewers Rhandal.

Well, my favorite villain is the Dark One! We don't get a first view from him, but hes the boss, and scary! To me the forsaken are all just people, bad, crazy, and powerful people, but just mere people none the less.
