Even after 14 books, this is still the most moving moment for me:

"`The Light shine on you, Lord Ingtar of House Shinowa, and may you find shelter in the palm of the Creator's hand.' He touched Ingtar's shoulder. `The last embrace of the mother welcome you home'

I always loved that.

on a more light hearted scene that struck my funny bone was the scene where rand comes to meet tuon in the garden where he and mat get into a verbal duel boasting their accomplishments

I don't normally cry while reading but there were quite a few things in this last book that had me tearing up. I've spend SO MANY years with these characters, and it was hard to see things come to an end. That said, the scene with Noal coming to protect Olver actually made me gasp out loud then sob for a while. And Loial watching Lan ride off alone into the hoard of Trollocs to fight Demandrad also made me tear up quite a bit. I just finished reading two days ago, and now I'm listening to the audio book; it will be interesting to see if different scenes affect me this time around.

I have to say the whole part with Gawayn and Egwene was what got me the most. Tragic and yet also fitting that if one should perish, the other would as well. It would probably have been worse for me if only one had died. Suian and Gareth are another sad one for me.

The entire sequence of Lan vs Demandred. Lan breaking from the army, Loial leaving Erith to record it, Tam and the Two Rivers archers clearing his path through the Trollocs, and that moment, when Lan says those fatal words.

“You didn't listen to me," Lan whispered. One last lesson. The hardest. Demandred struck, and Lan saw his opening. Lan lunged forward placing Demandred's sword point against his own side and ramming himself forward onto it.
"I did not come here to win," Lan whispered, smiling. "I came here to kill you. Death is lighter than a feather."
Demandred's eyes opened wide, and he tried to pull back. Too late. Lan's sword took him straight though the throat.

The feelings raging through me at this very moment... the war between devastation and the thrill. Ahh... I will never forget that moment.

My spellings may be off cuz I listen to the audio. Olver riding Bela, her getting it, Noal's return...so many things. I was sure Siuan would return with Bela with the Horn folk--but no :)

I wouldn't have minded a book much longer, more filled in, not more past the ending (well, I would love that too, but I think RJ was death on that happening), but it might not have been marketable to most other people. I'm sorry it's over, for I've loved the ride. I know there's an existing contract right now, but I would love for someone who'd do the series justice, and do a high quality tv series or series of movies on this--someone who could take the arc of the entire story and weave the threads just right. I know there are people good at doing this, and wading through and editing out parts not suitable for screen. I just don't want it to end.

I have to say the Lan sequence as a soldier really did hit also. The part about duty and sacrifice really made my career choice stand out to me.

The entire AMoF moved me. From Egwene and Gawyn, Lan , mat, well as i said the whole thing. I actually had a hard time breathing, clapping, crying...etc. It was great and I wished there was more than Moridin(Rand) is gone for the tent, I wish Egwene, Suian, and well all the main characters that did outstanding things came back with the Horn's warriors. A book though is a book and the writer has his/her reasons for the way it played out.

Still the book was completely amazing!

One of my favorite lines from one of my favorite characters. :) He finally found his glory.

I just started working my way through the whole series on audio (again) and right now Logain has been captured. I'm looking forward to following his story arc again now that I know how it all turns out in the end.

The thing that really moved me happened when Gawyn snapped on the rings. Essentially he killed himself for self sacrifice to the cause. I thought that Sabderson did a great job of explaining his motives and feelings throughout the event and paired with Egwene's thoughts and feelings as well, I was touched. It made it all the more emotional when Galad was killed by Demandred and then himself offed by Lan, "Sheathing the Sword". There were plenty of lead ups about StS and Rand did it himself per Lan's instructions. I was really moved by it all.

Tam's final POV in the epilog was the only place in the book where I cried. It was a truly moving scene. Poor Tam... after all he's been through, he really did not deserve that.

Bela's death didn't make me cry, but it made me freeze and stare in disbelief at the page. I am kind of mad at Jordan for killing her! I liked Bela!

I don't know why people associate being "moved" with being in tears. I never cried, but two scenes really "moved" me, or at least infused me with emotion.
- Noal coming back for Olver, because I have a son and would hate for any child to feel like nobody cares.
- When Egwene says something akin to, "It's nice to know that when everything else is breaking down, two things never change... cuendillar and Matrim Cauthon." [obviously paraphrased]

Mat was the brightest of all through the stories. I know he had the bit with the dagger, but for the rest of the series, he was so true to himself and people around him. He never disappoints. And he was willing to laugh in the face of oppression, darkness, and the Shadow. That's serious strength of character. He gave me more hope than all other characters combined.
