I think Eugene=Egwene is the best typo I've seen in a long while. :P

Doesn't Moiraine mention somewhere in an earlier book (I have no idea which one) that nothing, not even balefire, will destroy heartstone? Maybe she said, "nothing short of balefire" and I'm remembering it wrong.

Yeah the balefire gets absorbed. However, exposure to the TP seems to weaken it to the point that it's really just regular stone.

I've had a theory about cuendillar for a while, and I wonder if this has been answered. If its made stronger by hitting it with energy, can you weaken it by drawing out energy?

I always wondered what "makes it stronger" even means. It's indestructible to start with.

1) Why dark one had to trash Shaidar Haran and instead face Rand helpless?

2) The level of Gawin's stupidity left unexplained :)

3) The level of Forsakens' stupidity. ***A sharan damane learned Yukiri's map weave in a second and Mat's army was using it after Aes Sedai, while Moghedien couldn't learn it and show it to Demandred?!! *** Demandred is considered as one of the greatest generals of all time and he has around 400 Sharan channellers. Why was it so hard for him to send (after they won AS army) groups of 50 channellers each to major southern cities, destroy the cities and cause ALL OUT CHAOS, then return to Demandred in 6 hours time? *** Why Moridin was alone facing Rand? Couldn't he have some channeller help there to face Rand?

Because those 50 channelers alone would probably suffer casualties if they started destroying cities. People would fight back. Channelers would die (even if they surely win). Those 50 channelers would also not be able to fight the Forces of Light. Attacking cities to the south wouldn't have made a difference once the battle in the north had started.

he was changed from being with the sharans.. i dont think he would wipe out citys needlessly... besides... i think the bale fire on cuendillar may give a hint... Egwenes bale ice... im just caling it that rather then tarvalon flame :/ anwyays that stuff may neutralize the effects of the one power on cuendillar... secondly i think the dragons could be made with alot less matterial if they had been constructed of iron instead of brass then turned to cuendillar, i sorta wanted cuendillar armor.. .woulda been epic :/
bale fire protection maybe :(

1) The DO needed the world to give up in order to win. The easiest way is to turn thier champion and let despair reign. Sacrificing Shadar Haran formed the bridge to bring Rand to a point where the DO could directly assault him and ty to break and turn him.

2) I think Gawin has an inferiority complex. He was raised a prince and everyone is better than him of the main crew. Galad is a better swordsman, his sister looks to rand as the man of the house so to speak.. not that she even needs one being AS (well if she didnt have a death wish.. but I digress), his wife has to keep telling him to sit down and shut up. I think he feels the need to be the hero and prove himself. Fittingly he dies ungloriously like so many who try to be heroes and compromises Egwene nearly costing the light siders the last battle.

3) Well first Moggy isnt going to share with Demandred. The DO encourages them to fight with each other not work together. Moridin tries to aim them all in the right direction, but even he is working his own angle.
Demandred never wanted to just obliterate the light siders. He wanted to bloody and bludgeon them and break them so the Dragon would face him one-on-one. He truly expected at any moment the Dragon would burst out and attack him even if it meant turning back from Shayol Gul to save his friends and family. If he had sent chanellers all over to cause chaos there was no telling where Rand would show up. he knew most of the people Rand cared about were at Merrilor and he focused there.
Moridin is sure he will beat Rand because he is on home field advantage. He has the Alanna dieing nearby who is bonded to him, he has a direct link to the DO in front of them, unlimited access to TP, and the backup plan of injuring himself injures Rand. Frankly if not for the callendor trick and the time stop allowing Nynaeve to bring Alanna conscious enough to release the bond, it would have worked.

The tinker song is a myth. The core of it is stories of ancestors with the voice talent singing growing songs and the like. Over the ages it became a single mythical non-existant song. Rand who has the voice talent and the memories of certain songs uses this talent at the council at Merrilor and when he meets Toun again. It is probable there are others with the talent but that have never tried to sing growing songs. I read somewhere where someone postulated that talents are linked to the soul, but the level of ability is based on the genetics. Hence Androl with the Travelling talent, but barely enough ability to use it to its maximum alone.

What's going to happen to Mat's luck? Now that none of the three are ta'veren anymore, at least that's how I understood how things ended, does Mat keep his luck? Especially with only one eye and his wife sending assassinsafter him, it would be very helpful.

Also, it was never mentioned when, or if, the dice stopped rolling in Mat's head.

*edit* Nvm... Just saw this thread ><
