What would you ask Brandon?

My wife has the book now (growl), but didn't she agree to let the white tower take those who don't want to be damane in exchange for being allowed to send emmisaries to the other lands to try and persuade women to go back and get themselves collared (which sounds totally crazy)

The deal is:

1) Existing damane remain enslaved.
2) No more hunting damane outside Seanchan lands.
3) Seanchan emissaries can spread the Gospel of the Collar throughout Randland.

This is all in accordance with Rand's treaty. He was basically doing anything to get them to fight with him at The Last Battle. Now that he's gone, shit's gonna happen between The White Tower and the Seanchan. It's inevitable.

Toral: Tuon did not agree to that. Mat sort of stepped in at that point and said something to the effect of "we can deal with this crap if we're still alive after the battle".

Does the part about Seanchan emissaries seeking those who 'want' to be collared mean that I can sell a channeler to them?

I'd assume that if you had a way to force a channeller across the border into their lands, you would be able to reach an agreement with their emissary to arrange some form of payment.

This may not be a purely academic question, with Alviarin among others still on the loose. Just because the DO isn't there to offer immortality doesn't mean she's going to turn herself in for stilling, or even start being a nice person.

EDIT: I almost said "the DO or the Forsaken", and would have been right; RJ confirmed Sammael's death, though on a fairly careful reading of Moridin and Graendel's interaction, I don't think he pinned that particular crime on her.

I might also ask if Randland has an actual name. I'm sure it's been asked before, though.

I would definitely ask about Nakomi.

I would also ask for additional notes about the Aiel/Maidens that might be lying around and not in a book somewhere.

How did Rand develop his control of the real world as if he's in TAR? When he *thought* the flame in his pipe.

What is the knifed raven in Min's viewing? Unless I missed something, I think his kid is going to be murdered....

Also: Is Aviendha already knocked up with her quads? I hope not. Cause I want to think that they'll still get together now and then...

Darim, totally agree. Sandersons word choice is so sloppy. I'd ask him if the Thom scene was his way if making fun of himself.

To be honest I'd ask him if he's ever considered a screen play. He's great with action, twists, pace, etc... I think he could write a great screen play.

Also why was the book called a memory of light? It didn't seem to be a very layered meaning at all.

It was called "A Memory of Light" because that's what Robert Jordan wanted the last volume titled.

I'd ask him how in the world Mat knew the word 'arabesque.'

:rofl

I (did) ask Brandon if he's written himself into the story in any way. He said the sword that Rand gave to Tam was his personal cameo, as that is the sword he took from RJ's collection when he was offered the opportunity by Harriet :) RJ was also written into the series as the storytelling ter'angreal, which cracked me up because all the Aes Sedai fought over him when he was given to the Tower :D

Back in Nov 2011 at a book signing I was at he said that he was writing a book that was already signed to a contract to be produced and I think it was for a tv series, maybe a movie, but I'm pretty sure it was for tv.
