Yeah, Kat's pretty much the founding mother of that question, methinks. :P

Rec.arts.written.sf.Robert-Jordan, an offshoot of Rec.arts.written.sf around 1993 when people whined that there was too much Wheel of Time in the original group. It had its peak probably from 94-97/98 and then began to decline as web based forums became more popular and usenet started to die off
It was where the original, famous and flawed FAQ originated

I'm here at an AMoL signing right now, and Brandon stated that the whole epilogue was Jordan's as written. So I guess that's Cadsuane and all.

Oh, and Brandon also mentioned that the Isam scene from the prologue was almost entirely finished by Jordan ahead of time, too.

Gaidal Cain is an infant, not more than two years old. That's if rebirth happens at the point of, well, birth, and not when the baby is developing in the womb; which we can assume to be the case from Birgitte's comments. Interesting implication: unborn children do not have souls.

He and Birgitte would likely have had some part to play in future events around Mat and the Seanchan in say fifteen to twenty years -- they were never meant to be involved in the Last Battle as anything other than lackeys for the Horn of Valere.

Egwene dies! EGWENE IS MEANINGFUL.

Totes agree with you about Gawyn and his stupidity, though. When he put on the ter'angreal ring, I was like, "Oh, you dumbass. Wait, you're gonna die. YES, DO THAT."

Yeah. His death was, apparently, inevitable, and he put it on despite knowing that that was very likely the case and did so AFTER Egwene bonded (and married?) him. I find it interesting that Demandred, who made the assumption that Rand weaved the effects of the ring on Gawyn, was like "You're going to die, I hope you know that." And not, say, "this will kill you eventually, but I know a way out of it. Have you ever considered turning to the Dark One? Let's stop fighting and talk." Do we have any evidence as to whether Demandred knew he was Egwene's warder? Did he have any opportunity to talk with Black Ajah?

What the hell is up with Nakomi, and is she the woman that Rand sees at the end?

Maybe somebody could make a list of these questions and send them to him? Maybe he'll answer now that the last book is out :)
(there's no use saying RAFO anymore)

I wanted to know if burning out can be Healed.

Me too!

Also, when was it decided who would kill Demandred? Gawyn who is ALMOST Rand's family tried, Galad who is Rand's blood relation tried, and then Lan succeeded. After seeing Gawyn and Galad, my brain wants the next person on that list to be Tam, the person who Rand actually considers family. That would have been pretty amazing if ordinary ol' Tam Al'Thor, not even a Warder or a channeler or anything 'special' like the others, just a father protecting his son, managed to bring down Demandred. So I wonder if that was something Robert Jordan had planned out far in advance or if later on someone had to decide how that scene would happen and who would be in it. Probably only Robert Jordan himself knows the answer to my question, but I'm curious enough to at least ask Brandon and see.

Hello to all. I have been reading the forums for years and finally thought I would post something.

I would like to know why the Tuon has not at least released the captured Aes Sedai, Wise Ones, & Windfinders if not all the marath'damane. And what about the da'covale?

Because she has no moral objection to slavery and no moral objection to leashing rabid dogs. She believes channelers are rabid dogs. Rabid dogs that destroy enemy troops with great effect.

My wife has the book now (growl), but didn't she agree to let the white tower take those who don't want to be damane in exchange for being allowed to send emmisaries to the other lands to try and persuade women to go back and get themselves collared (which sounds totally crazy)
