The events team has been working on this almost daily for the past several weeks and months and believe me we have not forgotten about its importance. With recent developments that will make it difficult to follow a normal contract/deposit system, we're currently evaluating how to move forward, but most likely will only be able to focus on it after Fall Ball is completed next week.

Internationally, it might make more sense to fly to Chicago and then take the train (depending on where Anni is going to be...) - Detroit has a largish airport with limited international capability

Not necessarily true- we've had guests visit from Australia before, and Detroit Metro was able to accomodate with a layover through LA, if memory serves me about Aleita's visit here. 
DTW allows for quite a few direct international flights, since it's a hub and the Macnamara terminal services most of the international travel.

Hmm... We're rapidly approaching the point where international plane ticket prices are going up. I hope there'll be an announcement soon. I know you guys are working hard, though, and it's been a rough time. <3

Right now I'm getting a projected price for the middle of March that's lower by about $300 than I usually spend and it's round trip all the way from my home town. I wouldn't have to drive to Seattle.
