Hello, my name is Dro.
I've been chatting with people in the discord server for a little while now (thanks for being so friendly) so I figured I should finally make an intro post here as well.
I've been a Wheel of Time fan since I was around 10 or 12 years old when I found a copy of The Dragon Reborn at a family friends house while on summer break. I'm pretty sure I read it, The Shadow Rising, and The Fires of Heaven before the week was done. I was hooked.
I've reread the series a few times since then (and actually in the proper order), and am currently doing a reread (audiobooks, so relisten?) with my girlfriend (her first time with the series) and we're on chapter 18 of Winter's Heart.
I've continued to be a pretty voracious reader and usually get through 25 to 50 novels each year. I generally lean towards science fiction but I've been on a bit of a fantasy kick lately and just finished the Gentleman Bastards novels by Scott Lynch.
Besides books I'm a big pen and paper RPG nerd. I run a Delta Green game, and have played in or run a dozen other games over the years. This website actually first came to my attention when, earlier this year, I discovered the library while looking up Wheel of Time lore (I'm writing a fan conversation of the Talislanta RPG system to use the Wheel of Time setting, I'll post more about this in Video & Board Games later).
I'm also pretty into PC gaming, mostly RPG, FPS, strategy, and space/flight sims. Arma3 is the game that I spend the most time on and I'm pretty deep into the modding scene for it as well. If you've played it as well you've also probably used mods I've helped make or contribute to.

I mostly stick with D&D and Pathfinder. But I've also played Numenera, which I liked a lot, and Victoriana, which I absolutely LOVED. I would be thrilled if I could get people to play that system with me! And I'm currently super excited about Coyote & Crow, which I backed on Kickstarter. (
