especially when Mat and Rand brag what they've done in the last couple of books :p

I loved that as well. Legit made me laugh out loud when I read those. It was like they were kids again back in Emonds Field.

At first I was like, how could anyone compete with the Dragon… then actually thought about what Mat tackled. And yeah… he’s got quite the list to be proud of too.

Maybe the giant chunks of dialogue are less noticeable in audiobook format!

Lol probably especially if they give everyone a different voice. I really like Jordan's style so it was very jarring to me, and I like Sanderson's original stuff and he's a very nice person and all but the way he finished the wheel of time is a pet peeve to me. It isn't just his dialogue thing either, it's the fact that reading it felt that he was trying to get through everything he needed to in a much quicker pace.

Maybe I'm just an Ogier but it annoyed me how he was writing a battle and then was like "they looked around and saw Siuan, dead.
Anyway then this and this happened..."
It's like besides Moiraine she was the main driving force since New Spring, without her the whole story wouldn't be the same and when she dies It's just like "and this happened, anyway moving on". When I whinge about this someone always tries to make the issue the fact that she died at all and that's not the problem here. If she needed to die in the story fine, but how matters to me, even the events of her death were not the problem. How he wrote it like it was an afterthought, like he was on a roll and suddenly remembered 'oh yeah I have to kill her off, BAM, anyway where was I '. :indifferent:

So yeah I realize no one could finish it like RJ but I am just not a fan of some of the choices Sanderson made in how he wrote the end.

Maybe I didn't notice it that much, because I had to put the book down at that point... :cry

So another post (memes) made me think of this, but
So probably off-topic, but I think that was my biggest issue with Sanderson's books - I mean, Aviendha's toes?? WTH? :what At least with Jordan/Rand/Mat, it was an arm/an eye. Makes more sense.

It's almost like Sanderson had an afterthought and was like, oh, wait. Not enough folks are hurt/killed. Ok - let's go with Eggy, Si-si, and Avi's...*spins body part wheel* toes!
