Do you think it's weird that he started off with "even the wolves fight for the Dragon Reborn" to deciding that someone with wolf eyes is Shadowspawn?

i don't know. imagine seeing a man with golden eyes who could talk to wolves. i think id see evil where there was none to. besides, he was crazy. Shinariens don't murdur innocents in their right mind, but Masema did

Masema didn't know Perrin could talk to wolves? I think Faile and maybe Rand and Min are the only ones who know about that, aren't they?

Im not sure. even so, gold eyes are different, and to a man who grew up fighting darkspawn, where things have been corrupted by the blight, it would be easy to misinterpret wolves for those of a shadowspawn. I for one would find it very easy to rely on my instincts when encountering someone like Perrin. golden eyes are unnatural

There's a fair number of people that know about Perrin's abilities. Moiraine, likely Lan, likely Loial, Faile, Egwene, Elyas, Verin, Ingtar, and I'm sure most of the Two Rivers folk have figured it out as well. I can't remember if Rand, Mat, Min, or anyone else knows for sure.

I'm pretty sure Rand knows, though I can't recall why. I feel like such a failure in some of these discussions because it's been so long since a proper re-read. But I am loathe to give them up.

How do Loial and Ingtar know about Perrin and the wolves? And Verin?

I don't think Mat knows.

If we really want to know, I can post a wildly inaccurate theory and wait for Toral or Axis to come trout me and correct me. ;)

i also really enjoy Rhuarc. he is a vitally important role in Rands organization, but i feel is given less credit than men like bashere, despite that rhuarc commands many more men than bashere

Emerylde Sedai, Ingtar knows because Perrin told him when they were searching for the Horn in TGH. Then Ingtar just told everyone else that he was a sniffer like Hurin, which is how they found Rand, Loial, and Hurin when they disappeared to Cairhien. Loial likely knows from a few things ... his time with Perrin's yellow eyes, knowledge of very old things, experiences in the Two Rivers, and the fateful attack in the mountains of mist at the beginning of TDR which began Masema's craziness. Verin I would think from her being a Brown and basically knowing everything ... mixed with her knowledge of the Dark Prophecies, and likely Light Prophecies, and her time with him in the Two Rivers. It would be very unlike Verin to not put Perrin's extraordinary smelling, eyesight, hearing, and yellow eyes together with a possible connection with wolves.

My favorite minor characters include Amys, Birgitte, Gareth, Melaine, Bair, and Sorilea. I like the Aiel Wise Ones because I think they're funny, but they have a calmness about the that doesn't seem too strict, and they are outspoken and don't let anyone tread on them. And Birgitte and Gareth are just awesome.

Talmanes, Tam, Noal, Vernin (She becomes minor in the middle but then returns to major so whatever), Olver!, And god help me I adore Tylin. She flusters Mat and I really love those books.

My fabourite minor character is Damer Flin. He is always quiet and reflective, but also very powerful and wise.

And of course, Rodel Ituralde kicks ass!

The minor character that sticks out to me is Narishma. I've had respect for him since he brought Callandor out of the Stone. He had the balls to tell Rand he almost screwed up with the wards.

I didn't like Alivia too much as she just kinda popped in one day from the enemy camp and was immediately accepted by all the good guys. It seemed to convenient. Like they were all compelled to accept that she hated her previous life so much. Morgase was a strong woman and I enjoyed seeing where her path lead.

What I like about Alivia is that she doesn't fear anyone and her loyalty to Rand.She wanted to learn to be more than a former damane.I believe a part of her deep inside her always yearned to be free!I wonder if she will be enrolled in the novice book.Morgase,well she may have been a legendary queen but she knew nothing about men...Her romance with Tallanvor was so great to read.She is the mature image of Elayne.Now that I'm thinking of it I love Elayne and Morgase whatever they do but the male Trakand is another story...Couldn't he be more like them?At least the females sometimes:D use their brains before they do something risky!He was so good in the first book!
