Announcing - Wheel of Time Re-read!

Hello everyone!

With the Wheel of Time TV show coming really soon, it is now the perfect time to brush up on our Wheel of Time knowledge, to turn the Wheel and do yet another re-read of the books! :pleased-1:

This is why I am happy to announce, we will be doing a site-wide re-read of the series before the start of the TV show!

We will begin (of course) with The Eye of the World! :joy

The reading of Book 1 will officially begin on May 3, 2021 (Monday) and will run for a total of eight weeks. The discussions about each book will take place in this very forum so that we are able to post all kinds of spoilers freely.

So, get your copy of The Eye of the World ready! You can read along with us on paperback, e-reader, your phone, desktop monitor, or audio book! We are excited to have you join us!

Already have this one on my Kindle, but need to find my box of the rest.

I haven't read the last book. I know I'm not the only SM (I had thought I was :laugh:

), but I don't know if they are participating in this. I was saving it for when I did my own personal reread, life happened though. I'll try to maneuver around spoilers for that one, but wouldn't think there would be many this early on. :look:

For clarification, will the reread of Book 1 be 8 weeks before continuing onto book 2, or will the entire reread take place in 8 weeks? I assume the former, but I am just making sure.
Also, will there be a set/recommended amount of chapters to read per week or will everyone just read at their own pace as long as they finish the book on time?

Oh yes, sorry for making this unclear.

Only book 1's schedule is clear right now so that we can gauge participation and the pacing of the reading. So yes, only book 1's reading will last 8 weeks. And then we will announce how long the next book will take and so on.

Currently I've planned 7 chapter per week, which will make it a chapter a day, but then you may prefer to read all 7 at once or two here, two there, etc.

Every week I will post how far along you must be and what have we covered so far + interesting bits that maybe someone has noticed + discussing some foreshadowings and so on.

I hope this sounds fun to you, because it sure does for me!

I mean I am happy to write new things I notice as well, I actually am on book 4 as I was playing it as I layed down at night to sleep, I rotate through my books and wheel of time came up again.

One thing I realized that I am not sure I ever noticed before is that in Book 3 when Mat is infiltrating the stone he Bonks High Lord Darlin.

Haha, I very recently started a re-read and I am currently on book 3

. However, I didn't find book 1, so maybe I will try to locate it and start fresh with y'all in early May...at that pace it shouldn't get in the way of work or studies or anything, so it might be good for me to do it that way.
