Hello everyone! I first got started with The Wheel of Time a good few months ago through Michael Kramer and Kate Reading's awesome recordings of the series and just (a few days ago) began on AMoL for the first time. Goodness, this has been a wild ride. I would have to say that Perrin is my favorite character, despite the common criticisms of he and Faile. If we break away from the ta'veren and super girls, I'd probably have to name Weiramon my favorite. Especially with Rand's constant complaints of how much of an idiot he is.
I'm from Ohio, where I'm currently studying mathematics in college with the goal of teaching calculus to high schoolers. Other than WoT, I'm a high fantasy nerd. LotR is probably my favorite series of all-time and I'm eagerly awaiting (hoping) for The Winds of Winter. I also play D&D, though I've been away from the table for a while. Usually I DM and mostly play homebrew with the 5e framework, though my group started out with 3.5e. I've been in the lengthy process of worldbuilding and designing some custom mechanics for a game I'd like to run sometime in the yet undetermined future.
I think that's probably enough about me for now, but I'm glad to be here with everyone on TarValon.net!
