Hello, all! My name is Carl out in the real world, and I am coming to you from the state of Texas.

  1. Who is your favorite character in The Wheel of Time and why? This would be a toss-up between Moiraine, and Cadsuane. I love them both because they are devoted to their purposes, and do anything they can to keep people from inhibiting them from doing the right thing. I am also a huge fan of Perrin Aybara, because he seems to be such a strong, gruff person on the outside, but then you get to know him and he is actually a much deeper character.
  2. How did you find TarValon.Net? Good search for a WoT RPG. (I do understand this is not an RPG, that's just what led me here.)
  3. What do you do? I am a stay-at-home husband at this point in time, and I spend much of my time reading, cooking, taking care of our dogs, and things of that nature.
  4. Where are you from? What languages to you speak? I am from Texas, and I speak only English for the time being, though I do plan to learn Spanish, as it is part of my heritage as a Cuban-American.
  5. What is your favorite book or author other than Robert Jordan and The Wheel of Time? My favorite author outside of Robert Jordan would also be a toss up, this time between three, Tolkien and Lord of the Rings, Douglas Adams and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Alastair Reynolds and the Revelation Space series.
I have long been a fan of the Wheel of Time, and the Aes Sedai in particular. I have always been a particular fan of the Blue Ajah and their devotion to causes. As a member of the LGBTQ community, and a huge proponent of Environmentalism I feel a certain connection the Blues, and love that I might be able to combine my love for the Blue Ajah and my real world efforts to help out those two causes.

We do a little light roll play but not much
I found my way here years upon years ago because my sister dragged me in :laugh: she and I conversed with another Tower friend for an evening and I was a member before the night was through.
I live in central illinois and work at a local hospital in the behavioral health service line.

love to hear people identifying with Blue. a bit like the book Blues, we do all have our causes we champion and share them with each other.

Hi Jacen! I came from the realm of WoT role playing, but sadly there aren't many active sites these days. Hopefully once the show pops up they'll re-emerge? I do hope you find yourself at home here!
