Hi,
I am tulowstar. I am currently a member of the red hand. I have been reading the wheel of time since 1994. I got into it by accident. I was a member of the science fiction book club and was sent two books a month. I usually go on the site and refuse the books before they are sent. That month I did not. I was not much of a fan of fantasy, but loved science fiction space books. I did not have anything to read at the time, I usually read during breaks and lunch, so I took the book to peruse. The book was the 4th one and I was so impressed with it that I stopped reading and ordered the first 3. I was on pins and needles until they came and once I started reading them, I could not set them down. There were a few science fiction readers in my bay that liked to read, and I got them interested in them too. Each book was then passed around, and some discussions emanated. Needless to say, I had to order a copy to pass around at work, and one to keep for myself. Even both of my sons got interested, neither a fan of science fiction or fantasy, They were both in the military and when they were afleet, it was quite boring at times. They started reading the series and became hooked. Like me, they could not wait until the next book would come out. I think I read the last 3 in a couple of days, and when the last one came out, did not set it down until it was finished. I ordered a MP3 player and downloaded all of the audio books so I could listen to them while I was driving. Currently I listen to them when I go and visit my mother or are on the way to the gun range. I do not hazard a guess as to how many times I have read each book, a lot.
