I agree Devonna :cry

So many amazing scenes :pleased-1:

I cried when Rhuarc died. And when Egwene died, obviously.

Hopper's death got to me; he loved to soar. It relieved the sorrow seeing his return to the Wolf Dream, but then Slayer comes along and you have to go through Hopper's death all over again. Hopper should have appeared in the end with the other wolves when the Horn was sounded, imho.

Bela's death, to me was a senseless one and I had to re-read that paragraph as it sank in; so sad.

Lan charging across the battlefield would always get to me, as well.

I just finished my re-read of The Gathering Storm. I definitely cried at several point when Egwene was reclaiming the White Tower from the Seanchan, and then from the Loyalist Aes Sedai.

I also cried when Nynaeve kept trying to save Lan and muster support for him as he rides to Tarwin's Gap.

Oh yes, I most definitely love the whole Malkier segment. "The Golden Crane rides for Tarmon Gaidon" still makes me shiver :clap I remember the first time I read that. I could not stop smiling :D :cry

And so many of Amyrlin Egwene moments are great :D Her confrontation of the rebel Hall and the Blacks in it is excellent, and the declaration of war before that. I am not an Egwene fan in the early books, but when she is made Amyrlin I LOVE her :)

I remember the first time she meets Nynaeve and Elayne after she is Raised, and they curtsey, and she almost yells at them "Please don't do that!"
And I have just listened to when she almost made Nynaeve drink that vile concoction in the world of Dreams...

Also, the moment when Moiraine returns to the meeting in Merrilor. How everyone just stops and stares :D

The first time Nynaeve confesses her feelings towards Lan in EotW and he refuses them out of necessity. They're both stubborn as rocks but dang it, I wanted them to have love so early on. It was frustrating watching them.

Oh, yes, that scene too! Somehow, that scene got more powerful when I listened to it on audiobook.

Spoilers for Knife of Dreams!

I sob like a baby when Nynaeve inspires the Malkieri merchants to remember their heritage and ride for the Last Battle. I'm tearing up just thinking about it. :cheeseeni:

YES...This T_T

Not really sure I cried, because I read it 5 years ago, but...

Siuan's death at the very least punched me in the gut. I had seen it coming, what with all the warnings and foreshadowing, but she and Gareth were my favorite couple, and she was definitely my favorite character. I do think their deaths were fitting to them, but they were no less traumatizing...

I haven't chatted about the books in a while. I miss reading the series.
My "I cried" moment is in the spoiler tag, because it contains a major spoiler from aMoL

The moment Birgitte's head was lopped off. People tried to console me with "Keep reading" ( I can come back to this, but that's so close to the edge of the Spoiler line, it's basically considered a spoiler) or later "But she had to die so she could come back when the horn sounded." I didn't care, nor did I want consolation. A character I loved was just brutally and unceremoniously murdered. I just wanted to be sad, because the moment deserved it. I still remember the shock of the moment, it ripped a gasp from me.

I didn't see this one mentioned in fact its the reason I registered. Minor spoiler AMOL

"Go," Perrin whispered. "Do what you must do. As always, I will watch your back"
This is really something that got me emotionally. Especially considering how much it would mean to the person who can't hear these words.

It's also a bit of a lie. Particularly the As always bit. He will watch the back but Perrin could have hardly be considered to always be there.

I didn't the first time I read it, but I choked up quite a bit when Aviendha and Elayne were separated...

When Nynaeve promised to take Lan to the Borderlands but made him promise to ride to Fal Moran first and allow anyone to ride with him to the Blight who requests it. But she gates him to Saldea and goes on ahead to spread the word to raise the Golden Cranes again.

Another, was when Logain - regretfully- agreed to help refugees escape rather than collect a powerful sa'angreal. He noticed the helpless refugees seemed grateful and adorning. And some said they will send their sons to be tested for the gift. He realized then they called it the "gift" and not a curse.

Though it did not make me cry. I was devastated. The fall and chaos of the Seanchan homeland. No, my beloved Seanchan :cry.

Almost cried at Egwene's death. It was sad to see her die, my heart can't let go.

Bela she didn't need to be there and Olver didn't have to pick her. She went through so much.

I just read a section of Knife of Dreams that made me tear up:
When Tam comes from Two Rivers with the archery and all the refugees join as well because Perrin welcomed them to their new home. :cry

Imagine if all of Sweden could have the same approach to all the refugees that are coming here.

Ugh... just finished the series again a few days ago. It must have been a long while since I read AMoL. I forgot how many people died! :cry

(But that is somewhat made up for by the whole 'we can all be heroes too' scene.)

Not cry necessarily, but it broke my heart every time Lan made a charge while he was at Tarwin's Gap and would send a pulse of love and warmth to Nynaeve through the bond when he was sure he was going to die. I'm a sucker for love stories.

I've skipped huge portions of this thread because I'm only in Path of Daggers, but I cried on my way to work this morning at
the scene where Elayne is picking out her gateway weave as the Seanchan come, and it explodes, and she realizes she could've burned out Avidendha too, but Aviendha chose to stay even knowing that, and she decides to become First Sisters.:cry:cry:cry

I also cried HARD when
Faile brings the Watch Hill men to save Perrin at the Battle of Emond's Field. I have big problems with their relationship in other ways, but this is such an incredible moment and I can't help but love her.

Ok, now I'm crying at my desk.
