Mobile App?

I see that this question has been asked before, but since the last discussion of it was a year ago, I thought it might be worth inquiring again. I did a wee bit of googling and I see that XenForo has a mobile app it partners with. Are there any plans to add that to the platform here?

I ask primarily because my auto-correct has not been playing nice with the mobkle site knterfint :facepalm

And also because I would very much like to get push notifications instead of emails when someone replies to me or whatever.

Barring that, does anyone have tips on a third-party app that works with XenForo?

Thank you!

We discussed a mobile app for the site. Most of the Xenforo apps are completely unskinned, or they require an upfront cost a monthly maintenance contract. This would at least double our IT budget, so it wasn't cost effective. We've considered building an app in house, but that requires enough effort that our volunteer-only staff haven't had time to do it.

Also worth noting that during the recent membership survey, only a couple of complaints were noted for the tech department and none of them were on the mobile interface. The surveys help us determine where we need to apply more effort.

As for the auto-correct, that's device by device, not app by app, so you'd have the same issues with a tv.net app as you do with your mobile browser. Here's an article on each major mobile OS on removing non-words from your autocorrect:
iOS: https://itstillworks.com/delete-word-iphone-learned-27271.html
Android: http://www.tomsguide.com/faq/id-2333927/editing-autocorrect-dictionary-android-tablets.html

TLDR: The mobile site works well enough for most of our mobile users that the additional cost and/or effort of an app isn't cost effective.

Okay. Thanks for the response! My problem isn't non words, though — my phone is doing this thing where when I select a word to replace with ankther one, the change either doesn't go thriuth ;) or I get a garbled ckmbincombi (combination) of parts of both the corrected word and the misspelled word. Sometimes the change actually eats words to either side of it, too, which is just icing on the annoyance cake. Maybe I should try another browser, I dunno. I haven't noticed this problem anywhere but on Xenforo in my browser, either.

Is the cost very significant? Could it be offset by having to pay a small ongoing monthly or larger annual subscription fee for those who choose to use it? I would prefer an app and would be willing to pay a small amount to use it, others might also. Could that be an option to cover it?

(If the cost was reasonable I would also chip for it. I doubt Leilwyn and I would be the only ones, either. :) )

Although I will note that I switched keyboard applications -- I'm now using Fleksy instead of the built-in Samsung keyboard -- and my typing issue has been resolved.
