Greetings I've wandered back into TV.net after a long journey in the wilderness and was wondering how many bottles of Goldschläger and what type of cookies I should put out to attract a reference from a SM whom is sane enough to back my application to becoming a recruit of the White Tower?

Unfortunately I do not accept bribed references :p

Try reaching out to senior members you have interacted with previously, and if you don't feel you have interacted with any then start now :) I PM'd senior members I felt I had something in common with to strike up a conversation and after getting to know them a little asked them to be a reference.

Honestly, though, just start getting to know people. I remember being told by a few SMs that they wanted to sponsor me; sometimes you don't even have to ask. :pleased-1:

The chatrooms are a great way to get to know people, or the games and discussion forums.
Another great cheat? PM some of the people that you recognize fairly easily and ask if they don't mind getting to know you better to then later do so. :D I nominate a few from time to time, but I usually have a standing friendship with most of them prior. give it time...

Now I have the Lonely Island song "I'm on a Boat" in my head. Though the Michael Bolton collaboration also works :look: (Please don't look these videos up with kids about/at work, if you don't already know who Lonely Island are :look:)

I love 'I'm on a Boat'! And agree that it definitely isn't okay at work :P

I tend to be nicer when I've had a drink so you're more likely to get a better reference if you catch me at the right time :laugh:
