I'm finally coming to Tar Valon at the behest of my friend Fern al'Thorn. I've been a fan of this series, this world Jordon created for us since I first read "The Dragon Reborn" in my early teens. I was immediately ensnared by the Ta'Varen and their adventurers. I went on to find the previous books and every book in the series at that point. That was the nineties and as every additional book came out i was more and more in love. Then when we lost Jordon I panicked with the rest of you waiting with baited breath to see if his vision would ever be completed.
As the series unfolded I found myself drawn to two groups more than the rest. Principally the Ashaman followed by the Gaidin. The internal battles the Ashaman fought to master Saidin and the bravery they showed to even try to channel after the breaking. This stuck a cord in me like no other. The second group the warders brought out my old loves for martial arts and swordplay. Their dedication to their art and their Aes Sedai with their odd mix of subservience and mastery was so unique that it resonates to this day.
I'll end this by saying thank you for creating this site and giving us fans a place to call home.
