SwiftKey doesn't play nice

Mine does that too - Only on the phone, and I don't have Swiftkey. It's the autocorrect function that is refusing to do whatever it's doing. Putting half of the autocorrected word at the end of the word you're trying not to type :/

And you can uncheck the "Use the rich text editor to create and edit messages" option, and then it will do the basic editor by default for you, and that should help in as much as it avoids the problem.

TLDR: both the keyboard and the boards are trying to help you type and they trip on each other.

Okay so this isn't really a solution, because it keeps the setting for when you're on the desktop version as well, which is hella inconvenient. There's a bunch more to the Rich Text Editor than just the ability to bold/highlight/etc, it also saves your messages if you go to the next page, and helps insert quotes/multiquotes. :\

Unfortunately, short of replacing the text editor on XenForo, that's basically the only thing we can do on this side, and I have no guarantees that any replacement would fare better, especially since others have seen similar issues elsewhere, and I don't have the hands to test all the keyboard replacements out there.

It looks like it's unfortunately a choice between where it's convenient: phone keyboard or computer RTE. :(

Okay, well, that... it's a fix, and that's good. I just probably won't be posting much from my phone, and if I really need to, I'll disable the RTE from my settings menu or change the keyboard I use on my phone.

Do you know why it just started happening recently? Prior to about a month ago, it was never an issue.

My honest guess is that they made an update to swiftkey to help its predictive nature, and it didn't play well with some RTEs. We haven't touched the XenForo software in a while.

ETA: It's likely they'll update again to fix it, if they haven't already, because I doubt this is the only place people will hit issues and file complaints with them.

Okay, so I'm not totally fixed. My punctuation doesn't always work Sometimes it just adds another space instead of a period or comma.
Not too bad, but a little irritating.
And at this point I realize there's not really anything we can do about it but I guess this thread has become more about solidarity for us, haha.

I love SwiftKey. I've been having the same problem until recently, but the past week or two has been all better. Anyone else still having this issue?

I still have trouble with punctuation, but it's happening on other sites, too.

Mine's still broken. :( I'll check if there's an update for it.

To be honest, the only problem I frequently encounter with SwiftKey is it's incessant ability to crash when it feels like doing so. Though, I'm not sure if that's better or worse than it speaking in tongues to you guys..:indifferent:
