Elandil: I started reading fantasy with Robin McKinley's Hero and the Crown in junior high. I started devouring fantasy books and stumbled upon RJ's maybe '97, '98? Then it was the dreaded wait while each book release felt like a complete turn of the wheel before it hit the shelves.

Maibella: I always loved Egwene, Saerin, Lan, Uno, Mat, Siuan/Gareth, Galad/Berelain, Verin. I could go on...

Satrim, Cahalan, Carina, Ashlyn, Stasia, Al' Amar, (I hope I didn't leave anyone else out): I think there's a thread for games? I'll post there.

That was always the appeal to the books. Not so much on the numerous dress descriptions. Though in hindsight, his elaborate (maybe I should have said extensive and detailed) descriptions somehow seem not enough now that I enjoy drawing on some of it for roleplay.

I was never one to complain about the "excessive" descriptions. I know it drives many people crazy but I revel in the little details like that. :D
