What accent, eh?

Yeah, this Anni could very well be epic. The location is reachable by a large amount of folks by road, two (three with Toledo) serviceable airports, and tons of interest thanks to the Mitten contingent and all the non-Mitten folk who love them (not to mention former Mitten folk like me).

We blew an old record with Anni this year for a non-hotel Anni with our Estes Park attendance. Wanna go for blowing away the all-time record? ;) :D

Despite the facts that the flights are upwards of $600, I'm gonna be attending. :P No way Liz would let me miss it.
Just doing a fast search this second, I'll note that they don't let you check this far in advance. Priceline has a 330 day window, and that's the longest-reaching one I've found. So, booking round trip for as close as I could (out Thursday, back Monday, late February 2013), I see $543 using American Airlines via DTW (Detroit Metro Airport in Romulus) and $500 using United Airlines via FNT (Bishop International Airport in Flint), all taxes and fees included. Once the actual dates are announced and are searchable via the internet booking sites, those prices could drop further.

I'm just trying to help because I want to see you again! :D

Edit: Also, depending on the exact site, the Lansing airport may also become an option, which for the same specs (Seattle to Capital Region International Airport, Lansing, MI) using Delta OR United Airlines is $513.

In the current areas we're investigating, I wouldn't think Lansing as a very viable option right now, unless something changes dramatically. However, trust that we'll keep you as up to date as we can. :D

Aldus- I really didn't expect this much initial "OMG I'M SO THERE!!" reaction, and honestly, y'all have me a little worried right now. :brown-blink: :p But hey, I have a fantastic team, and I'm sure we'll put together something that folks won't soon forget. :horsey

Well Michigan is way closer than Colorado. We drove there so I would have to come up with a pretty good excuse to miss this one. After how much fun we had at 11th Anni I'm sure Laithean and I will make the trip.

Looks like I may be coming back home for a visit. It'll be nice to be someplace where people don't make fun of me for my "Canadian" accent.

You are coming to this one. No more skipping out on meeting me. :nono

Woohoo! You'll hopefully BE drunkblood. I'm sure we'll have many gatherings before then. Our caravan is going to kick butt!

I am SO EXCITED because this means I will FINALLY be able to make it to an Anni! :D :joy :joy :joy

For those of you interested in airports... here are all the codes for the ones that I would check into prices at, depending on exact location of the event:
DTW- Detroit Wayne County (most likely your best bet, especially if flying Delta as it's a hub)
FNT- Flint (I don't have any experience booking at this one)
TOL- Toledo (as Toral said, in the cornfields)
LAN- Lansing
GRR- Grand Rapids (I've got a lot of good deals in and out of here)
AZO- Kalamazoo (tends to be more expensive but I figured I'd throw it on here)

Giles- I feel like I had that dream, too... :scratch

All good things to note- just keep in mind that until we get a final location out, some of these could be pretty far away from where we end up. For the moment, your best bet for general price checking is going to be DTW, as Stasia mentioned.

NOW SETTLE DOWN! :p You're going to give me conniptions. :tug

People make fun of my Canadian accent in Canada. You are pretty much screwed.
