Sadly, it looks like I'm not going to be able to apply. I just got a job out in LA that starts in two weeks, so I've got a lot to get done before then, and I've been told I'll be working 60+ hour weeks for at least the first few weeks. My free time is going to be absolutely nothing for the...
Ah, that's very true Ivanor Gaidin ... but then, he was a leader in the AoL, not an Aiel. Therefore, he'll much more likely make the connection, but I think it would still be Rand's own memory from the columns that would give them the detailed insight.
I have difficulty fully grasping it personally, but it makes sense with their society. For one, those daughters would likely be kidnapped/raped/etc, and they'd be powerless to stop anyone trying to do so and remain with their people. For another, that's kind of the point of the Way of the Leaf...
Yeah, but they've been trying to find a place where they don't have to fear for their lives too. This is the first time since the Hundred Companions went mad that they've had peace. I think they deserve a little break.
Very nice Luko! You've got a lot in store waiting for you. I've heard a lot of people say the second book (The Great Hunt) was the one that really got them hooked on the series. Personally, I was hooked after the first book, but the fourth (The Shadow Rising) will always be my favorite.
Yeah, I believe it was in TGS when either Perrin or Rand are passing through Seanchan lands near Ebou Dar, and they run into Tinkers that are going that way. Tinkers have always kept traveling because they haven't found safety or security anywhere in the world. With the Seanchan they have...
The Jenn Aiel had been traveling for a very long time ... they easily could have gone through Ebou Dar and lost some of their ter'angreal there.
And the Aiel don't consider themselves as having toh to the Tinkers. They consider them to have failed the Aes Sedai as well, just in a different...
Agreed ... same for me. I read the prologue and 1st chapter when they came out though. I couldn't help myself. I don't want any of it spoiled by finding out about something from someone else.
Thanks! And I'm learning that already by the research we've both been doing on the neighborhoods and such. Also, I recently got a lead that may lead to a job out there significantly sooner than expected ... which would be awesome, but also really difficult at the same time.
Yeah, currently I'm looking to move to LA this upcoming Summer, right after I get back from the honeymoon. We're even doing a 4 day layover on our way out so we can check out apartments and the like. There used to be a possibility of Central Florida, but the big studio down there went bankrupt...
I'd love some tips on Maui, Megana. I've been there once before for a few days with my family, but I'm sure there are countless things I'm completely unaware of.
That's awesome to hear how your husband got the job. I've got a friend that works for TSA around here; just recently promoted...
I'm planning on going to Hawaii for my honeymoon in July ... although we're gonna avoid the touristy stuff, so we're gonna be staying on Maui and Kauai. What does your husband do? I'm actually hoping to eventually move out that way, but don't know that there's much for my industry out there.
