The storylines from the Way of Kings come together in Words of Radiance.

I'm about halfway through Words of Radiance now. The Stormlight Archives have been the first books by Brandon Sanderson alone that I've read. I was already familiar with his writing style from the last three books of the Wheel of Time, but I had never before seen his awesome worldbuilding skills! Worldbuilding is my favorite part of the writing process for me, and I admire other authors who can do it well.
I wasn't sure about the overall plot as well (that's clearing up as story lines merge in Words of Radiance) but I still couldn't put it down. The characters and their personal stories kept me reading, and I haven't stopped yet. I don't know what I'll do when I finish Words of Radiance! I'll need the next one ASAP!

I'm just re-reading 'The Way of Kings' until I can get my hands on a copy of 'Words of Radiance'

Does anyone know a more precise date for the release of the third book? I've seen fall 2016, but I don't know how accurate my sources were.

No, but I can ask about for you.

I'd lend you my copy, Satrim, but I only have it in e-book format on my Kobo!

Another reason why I prefer literal books over digital copies. Also, would you mind if I called you CC? I was reading the spelling of your name and the double 'c' reminded me of the chips, so...

I can lend a book to anyone anywhere with a few clicks and no postage, as long as they have a computer or ebook reader they can read it.

I used to love proper books but they take up so much space and ebooks are much more convenient.

I started to listen to the way of kings in my car. I drive at least 8 hours every week, so I need especially long audio books. With this series I might be occupied for a while :D
The only problem is that audible and my old iphone do not get along very well and that I have to burn the audio books on cds :\

Can you not just transfer the downloaded files to your iphone as music and listen to them through the music player?

I've been really curious about this one, but I didn't want to start it before I finished reading the WoT.

Is there an estimated number of books that the series will have? :look:

BS says 7... And since RJ started by saying three, God knows how many books this series will end up with :look:

Thats a pain, I suppose being such large files it just cant handle it for some reason.

Yes, but it's okay. Even considering the price for cds, it's still far cheaper than buying a real audiobook :cheeseeni:
Next time I will try to burn it on DVDs, as my radio can also read those.

I like my digital books because they're less heavy, and when I'm carrying them around all day, that's a great thing for my shoulders.

Yes I would. I'm pretty easy-going when it comes to nicknames here, but naming me after corn chips which I can't eat will just make me cry.
