REMINDER!

This weekend we will begin the migration process of bringing us over to the new version of vBulletin.

I'll be beginning a backup and export of the current site this Friday (Oct 3). This may result in some downtime/slowness. I don't expect this to take too long, but the whole weekend is game for downtime and other oddities, so bear with us!

In the following week or so, we will be doing a lot of work on the backend to make the migration smooth. However, that means anything posted after the database export is performed will not be migrated over. We're aiming for Oct 11, but that's a holiday in Canada so we might need a few extra days ;)

Reminder the link to IRC is at the top of the page labeled as 'Chat' that opens the Mibbit web based chat.

There is another web based client named 'Kiwi IRC' for those who have had issues with Mibbit. :D

So wait, will posts actually disappear, or will they just disappear if you mess up and need to use the emergency back up?

Any posts made after the backup is taken will not be migrated to the new site.

This is because we need to do some massaging data and config setup on the new site, but we don't have a way of porting just posts over after that's done (well, we maybe technically could, but it'd be way too much effort).
