I just thought of another question.... are Luc and Slayer the same person? Luc in the real world and Slayer in the wolf dream? I couldn't quite put my finger on that one.

Luc Mantear (Rand's uncle) and Isam (Lan's cousin) are together Slayer. They were different people that were fused together by the Dark One. He can appear as either in either T'A'R or the real world.

I think Tinna is just a random woman, Toral, that was put out of the Tower and still wanted to be useful. The Last Battle called many dudes/dudettes from all callings to action it seems. I would also theorize someone named Tinna (or many Tina :P) either is close to Sanderson or won a conetst or another and was placed in the novel.

Thanks so much for the info! I think I read the last two or three books too quickly and missed a lot of information.

He can also be either - not just appear as either, though they seem to share the memories. According to the writing on the wall in tGH, "One did live and one did die, but both are"

I have a question.... (I'm in my re read right now) but does any of the scads of information Min looks and looks and looks for ever come to light? Does she find anything worth finding? I guess I'll have to make a list and as I read, make some notes or something.

I was inclined to think that her studies helped Rand, Moiraine, and Nynaeve develop their plan to have Moridin use Callandor so they could exploit the flaw. Not sure if the text backs that up or not, but she spent so much time on that part of the Karaethon Cycle and they mentioned it so often in the books that I find it hard to believe that she didn't have a hand in that development.

It does say "Min had figured it out" right before Rand tells the women to take control of the Head Dummy.

Reading more slowly and in more detail, the woman in white can't be Alviarin as she is described as plump, whereas Alviarin is slim.

The sword Rand gave to Tam was Lamen's (sp) sword I believe. From the description, it was the sword Avi had given to him.

For some reason I was under the belief that Rand was walking around with Lamen's sword. Morraine insisted she have it with him, but I could be mixing up swords. I think Morraineinsisted he carry the sword since the profecy was he would still walk the lands with justice in his hands which I believe was Lamen's sword's name.

I was pretty sure he gave Tam an age of legends power wrought sword. Anyone know what statue Rand referred to it being found under? That would be the clue.

I thought "Justice" was Artur Hawking's sword, not Laman's.

As for the sword which Rand gave Tam, I'm sure I read somewhere that it's one of Brandon Sanderson's swords. He was given the chance to write something in of himself, and that's how he chose to do it. I'm not sure what (if any) "in-world" value/persona/name he gave to the sword.

I'm fairly sure that is wasn't Laman's sword that Rand gave Tam. I think that Rand actually went into the Last Battle with Laman's sword, along with Callandor, because he mentioned how long it had been since he had actually carried a real sword with him. Also, since Tam fought in the Aiel Wars (that may not be the right name), shouldn't he recognize Laman's sword?

I doubt Tam was ever close enough to Rand to see the sword, especially as Laman kept it in a gaudy scabard. The sword he gave Tam was apparently Justice, Artur Hawkwing's sword, dug up a the beggining of tGS.

So what happens between Perrin and Galad now? Perrin promised to take his punishment for killing the whitecloaks after the Last Battle.... Now the Last Battle is over and done with, what happens next?

And what bout Austr... I mean, the Island of the Mad? Will Aviendha's vision from the mirrors come true for the Aiel? Where will Nynaeve and Lan settle? Will the Blight be totally recovered? Will the White and the Black Towers start cooperating?

Seems we need yet another book just to gather all the loose threads.

As for Perrin and Galad, I personally think that Galad will be pretty lenient after what Perrin did at the last battle. Then again, these are the Whitecloaks we're talking about...

Rand walks away with Laman's sword at the very end of the book.

He gave Hawkwings Justice to Tam.

In ToM Perrin and Galad agree that Perrin will pay blood price for the whitecloaks that he killed when Perrin rescues the whitecloaks from a trolloc ambush intended for him in Lugard.
