Thank you Cassie Sedai! Must admit, my knitting has ground to a halt lately with the weather heating up - I've got one project that is finished barring sewing the ends in which I just haven't found the motivation to do yet (I really need to get into the habit of doing that *before* I take something off the needles 'cause my brain just registers it as "done" otherwise) and then a mountain of yarn I bought because I'll just teach myself to crochet, no problem. If I ever take the hooks out of their packaging, this might happen :rofl

I am terrible about getting around to sewing in ends. Possibly for the same reason, which is slightly awkward when I end up wearing the thing I knit. And I learned the other way around, crocheted for ages before I finally sat down with some needles and YouTube and a little making it up as I went to learn to knit. Been cross-stitching mostly of late, but I’m odd and summer seems to be when I decide I need to make some monstrosity of a blanket because logic.

I always get the blanket bug in summer too - the crochet project that I'm absolutely not intimidated by is a blanket (one of the Attic24 kits) but I might save it for cooler weather. I'd like to attempt a temperature blanket one day but mid-June might be a bit late in the year to try and catch-up, especially at the speed I knit

Never tried cross-stitching but I've been noodling about with a little embroidery kit I got from Amazon and I've been really enjoying it - my french knots leave something to be desired (they're perfectly adequate but a little wonky, just like me ha) but it's fun so far.

how are settling in to TV.net?
I love my blanket in summer - although just using them as I have never crocheted one.
I think I would like to learn to crochet something that big as I love mermaid tail blankets

Hi Raevyn Sedai! I'm really enjoying it here, nice to have a little refuge away from the house's current football-induced madness :)

I love the look of mermaid tail blankets but I don't think they're for me as my feet get fidgety if they're covered up too long (when I come home, I'm more likely to tear my socks off before my bra ). If I could get the dog to lie still enough for me to get a photo, then it might be worth the effort of crocheting one!

Buttons would be nice, especially if they were pearls or shaped like shells :)

I'm crocheting my first lapghan atm. Because of the color changes in the yarn, it's coming out looking like long stripes. Everyone who sees it thinks I'm changing colors and I'm not. :D Work smarter, not harder. ;)
