What is this?
This summer, join us in the Forum Triad Olympiad! Citizens or Junior Members must partner with 2 Senior Members to compete in a series of trials to display their mental and creative prowess for the enjoyment of all!
Event Structure
Every week, for three weeks, three rounds of competition will be held for triads to compete for dominance (or giggles, depending). The events will fall into one of 3 categories: Wordsmithing, Artistic Endeavors, and Community Engagement. Triads can decide to divide and conquer or work together to meet all three tasks; it's up to each group to decide how they want to handle the work load.
Timeline:
- June 1 - Registration opens for teams and for anyone who is solo but would like to be placed in a group
- June 6 - Registration for solo registrants closes (to allow an extra day for forming groups)
- June 7 - Triad registration closes
- June 8 - Week 1 competitions released; list of competing triads posted
- June 12 - Week 1 voting polls go up
- June 15 - Week 2 competitions released; triad standings updated
- June 19 - Week 2 voting polls go up
- June 22 - Week 3 competitions posted; triad standings updated
- June 26 - Week 3 voting polls go up
- June 29 - Winning Triad announced, along with 2nd and 3rd place teams, and they will get awesome, majestic prizes***
***Prizes will be funded by Ye Ol' Bank of Erin, and as such rely entirely upon the whim of whatever I think is amusing or appropriate based on the outcome of these competitions. That said, each member of the winning triad will be mailed something roughly $20 in value. Second place triad members will each get something in the $10 range. Third place in the $5 range.
