For some reason I have always imagined Faile as Indian.

I agree, she could definitely be Indian. I just like Gemma Chan. And Saldaean's are described with tilted eyes and strong noses so I feel like they would have to be an Indian/Asian mix :cheeseeni:

I've been looking through pictures of young Indian actresses trying to find my perfect mental image of her for weeks.

The movie I saw her in is Mr Joe B Carvahlo, it's a comedy, Boss is action/ comedy, then there's one of my go to movies if you haven't seen it already Jab we Met.
Also Oh My God is hilarious.

Interesting Aratouial! Between Michael McElhatton and Stewart Graham we've got some possibilities... Thom, Tam or Fain for those two? I'd say possibly Bran Al'Vere, but they don't look like they're related to Madeline Madden.

Gawyn Trakand on Twitter has screenshots and some video of Ajezen Harpal who's been cast as an extra in the show:

I think the poor kid has gotten in trouble for this. Along with the casting agency announcing Naana Agyei-Ampadu as being at the table read without Amazon's go-ahead, all sorts of people are getting thumped with a heavy stick recently.

Does anyone know if it is required reading of the original books to be accepted as a cast member? Or will some of these people look at the monster size of WoT series and ask their agent, is it ok if I just read a summary and the script?

Normally I wouldn't ask this, but WoW really is a beast of a series to read from start to finish. I just don't see every single cast member having read all of them personally, not in that Hollywood culture anyway. I know the actor playing Perrin has said he has read them, so that is good at least.

Almost certainly some cast members will not read the whole series. I'm 100% confident it wouldn't be any kind of formal requirement in the casting process.

Most likely several of the principle actors will at least go on to read portions of the books where their character features prominently, but many will just do their job from the scripts as written by the show's writers.

I'm not concerned if they don't. The showrunner is a massive fan, they have someone who's read all of them 30 times on as a consultant, I know Rosamund Pike has read at least some, if not all... Brandon Sanderson and Harriet are on board as co-producers.

I was never going to agree 100% with how actors decided to portray their characters anyway (or, for that matter, how any other fan wants them to be played), so with all of these executive people making the actual decisions about what the show is going to be like I'm not going to bother myself if they don't read 4.4 million words.
