Speaking of Bayle and different interpretations, I know most people read his accent as a typical pirate accent, and I know that's what it was probably meant to be, but I always read it in my head as soft Scottish and I know I'll be disappointed by his voice in the show because I'm the weird one on this.

Even worse, I read his voice as the Captain from the Simpsons.

Also, I don't really care all that much about how the characters look, as long as they do not deviate TOO much. To me, it is much more important that the actor manages to convey the character and the essence of the character they are portraying.

So, actually, I could have a brown haired Rand, as long as the actor sounds and acts like Rand...
I don't care that Moiraine is tall. It is much more important that she manages the calm collected Aes Sedai face, and yet show her determination and drive to succeed...

Yeah I agree with this. It would be nice if they looked "right" but how they carry themselves and act are more important than height or coloring.

I reserve the right to be grumpy about hair color, though, because these days it's easy for any actor to have any color hair.

I like it! A Dutch actor I've never heard of... I'm really looking forward to seeing his interpretation of Rand. :D
