Oh, it does look like that his chapter annotations are completely spoiler free of future stuff. So feel free to read his annotations as you reach each chapter! I think it'll be a fun addition. Just stay away from the deleted scenes annotations until you're done with the book.

I have them in paperback and on audiobook. I'll probably listen to them, since I can do it while I drive around.

So we're doing 3 chapters a week? I'll get them ready and listen starting on my way home tonight :pleased-1:

WEEK ONE (8/7-8/13):
Read/Listen to the Prologue and the first two Chapters.

Feel free to discuss anything at any time. I assume most of us have read the books once before (Except for Leala), but place your questions/comments in spoilers just in case.

I want to do this too :)

And I like to add that this book has one of my favourite opening lines ever :pleased-1:

"Ash fell from the sky" Perfect sentence. It sets a mood for the whole book :D

All in all, the first book of this first trilogy is one of the best books Sanderson has ever written :)

I .... kind of want to do this but I have loads of other stuff to read, too. I'll see what I can do.

If you read the Mass Market paperback, it's 43 pages. It's doable if you do 10 pages every other day if you can manage that.

All right, I got it on hold from the library so it'll take a while to get here. I'll see if a used bookstore around here has it. Otherwise I'll catch up in a few weeks.

All right. I've grabbed my first edition hardcover copy. We were saying an average of 3 chapters, with the book having 38 chapters, a prologue, and an epilogue. That makes 40 parts. At the pace of 3 chapters a week, we'd divide the book over 14 weeks. The book starts at page 15 and ends at page 537 (again, in the hc). That's 37.3 pages a week. Based on that, I suggest the following:

Week 32: Prologue - 2 (33 pages)
Week 33: 3 - 4 (30 pages)
Week 34: 5 - 7 (49 pages)
Week 35: 8 - 9 (30 pages)
Week 36: 10 - 12 (35 pages)
Week 37: 13 - 16 (36 pages)
Week 38: 17 - 19 (39 pages)
Week 39: 20 - 22 (38 pages)
Week 40: 23 - 24 (26 pages)
Week 41: 25 - 27 (38 pages)
Week 42: 28 - 30 (43 pages)
Week 43: 31 - 32 (27 pages)
Week 44: 33 - 35 (34 pages)
Week 45: 36 - Epilogue (44 pages)

Is this agreeable?

Looks good to me, Stephan! :pleased-1:

As stated before, the chapter lengths vary, and pages are really my concern. I think that's a reasonable amount to read on average.

Doing the leg work! I really appreciate that Stephen! I totally agree with this format. I'll edit it back into my main post.

I'm also thinking that if there's anything you wanna specifically talk about, maybe make a spoiler discussion for the specific chapter? Is that too annoying to do?

I’ve never read Mistborn before but have been wanting to. I think I can manage this pace. I hope it’s okay if I join in :)

*ponders* Is it a good idea to do a Sanderson reread in the middle of a Butcher reread.......

I've actually been reading Sanderson and Butcher at the same time for about a month now, so yes.

Those seem a lot more difficult to combine.
