Hi All,

My name is Tim. I don't have a site name yet, but I'm willing to hear suggestions. I Began reading WOT in 1995 and raced through the first 6 books in a few months, then worked through ACOS - AMOL as they were released. I'm currently doing my first reread (on audio book), and I'm excited to connect with WOT lovers in a community I had no idea about until recently.

Thank you all for your welcomes. How did I hear about you? As I began my reread I was looking for community and support. I found this community through the Facebook groups.

Who is my favorite character? Mat is too easy an answer. My avatar is Galad, as unpopular as he is, because he did something to bring the Children back to their intended purpose- the Light. He did what was right, despite the norms of the Whitecloaks. In the end, he fought for the Light, with the Aes Sedai, to defeat the Shadow. He broke the rules.

Very good pick Tim. He drove me crazy all though the series but in the end he showed his ability to get past his preconception and do what was right.

Welcome to the community, Tim! It's always good to see new faces around.

As for your name... There are some "Wheel of Time" name generators out there, like this one. Personally, I only ever use that website for inspiration; I don't think I've ever taken a name directly from it, since it can be a little bulky at times. Although I daresay if you were to leave your name as it is here, that would be fine, too.
The other thing is that if you want to change your name, I'm pretty sure you have to write to our membership@tarvalon.net so they can do it for you - we don't tend to change our names or avatars much.

If you have any questions, it's generally a good idea to read the stickied threads in the forums you post, and the Membership Manual is always a good read. That said, we are always here as well, so please feel free to ask whatever, whenever.
