Galad was older and more mature than Gawyn. Despite joining the Whitecloaks, that reaction was less irrational than Gawyn's to what they perceived as White Tower manipulation of their sister.

What I like about Galad is how he tripped Berelain ( :kiss ), the most beautiful woman in Randland ... Lucky bugger!

In a nice kind of way :) She was strong, willful, competent, and faithful to Rand. The Aiel Wise Ones, Sorilea included, adopted her as a daughter ... I think Sorilea said something like .... "we need to find her a suitable husband ... if such a man exists among wetlanders."

I'd take her over Faile any day!

"Ya got trouble, folks! Right here in Mayene City.
Trouble with a capital "T" And that rhymes with "B" and that stands for Berelain!"

For Egwene haters (and I'm not one of them), he helped them get rid of her. The bloody fool started using the Seanchan ring ter'angreals, putting a month countdown timer on his life! I'm guessing he knew that Aes Sedai suffer greatly when their flaming warders die. And so he put that added burden on Egwene's shoulders in the bloody middle of the Last flaming Battle!

I doubt Taringail Damodred was his father. Morgase must have bedded a dim-whit to account for Gawyn's cognitive faculties.

I love Egwene, and I honestly think Gawyn was the worst thing to ever happen to her. Their relationship reminds me of a horrible relationship I had in high school... I thought I was in love, but really the guy was just a useless idiot who only cared about himself and his ego... But of course, I was blind to it right up until the end of the relationship.... Poor Egwene...

Tuon. As an individual character, my least favourite would have to be her, but I hated the whole Seanchan nation, and kept hoping something truly terrible would happen to the lot of them (except the damane and those held as 'property'). I was really sorry when it didn't.

Mind you, considering how much I love the books, I do have quite a long list of characters who come under 'don't like': Tuon, Faile, Min and Berelain. I'm not very fond of Moiraine. I've never liked trickster/womaniser characters like Mat, although I did find a lot of his threads really interesting; I liked reading about him more than I liked him. I liked Perrin, except that he so often came with Faile :( and I was sorry to lose a lot of respect for Rand. Gawyn irritated me, but he only just falls into the 'dislike' category - like a kind of 'cut-off' point - I don't feel very strongly about him, to be honest.

One thing I find a little frustrating is that we meet so many Aes Sedai - it's not that they're necessarily similar, but I sometimes struggle to remember whether we have 'met' one before when a name is mentioned or one appears in a scene.

I thought I would have a new character to hate after re-sending WoT but I don't. I still get annoyed by Greene.
She was such a strong character in the beginning that her snobby change bothered me twice as much!

Tuon for being sheer evil - Mat isn't my favourite character by any stretch, but I think he deserved better than her! I was really hoping something terrible was going to happen to the whole Seanchan race and the damane and 'property' could go free.
Faile - again Perrin deserved much better. But she wasn't horrendous on a scale of Tuon.
I didn't much like Min, either.

I couldnt stand virtually all of the Forsaken. I found them painfully incompetent to the point of aggravating self-destructiveness. I suppose that was the point; that their greed and in-fighting would be their downfall, but come on! All one of them had to do was invert some weaves to disguise themselves as a servant and the entire thing falls apart. Like, did Semiphage (spelling?) really need to go to all the trouble of impersonating Tuon to get close to Rand? A gateway in the middle of the night and the Forsaken wins the Last Battle before it starts. Other than Lanfear, who's goals didn't line up with the Dark One, I cant stand any of them (though Graendal was by far the best of them).

I found that I disliked most of the cast at one point or another, but would love them otherwise.

Gawyn ends up being terrible, which was a shame. I thought his Younglings arc was pretty interesting but it goes downhill real fast.

Couldn't stand Perrin during Faile's capture at all. Don't really care for Faile either, though she does get better after Malden.

Nynaeve made me angry throughout the entire series. Not only was she a bully, but she was the worst kind; the kind who blames everyone else for her mistakes. Oh no, the glorious miss al'Mera couldn't make a mistake! No, clearly it's all Mat's fault, or Egwene's fault, or Rand's or anyone else's! She does get a bit better towards the end, but I still found her holier-than-thou attitude annoying.

I've re-read Wheel of Time a couple of times and Egwene is still my least favorite character. I got my dad to read the series and I'm shocked that Egwene is his favorite character. He has only read 6 books...

I couldn't stand Padan Fain for a long time because he freaked me out. By the end I was okay because at least I knew what was going on, but still NOPE.

Allana for obvious reasons. My best friend is reading and she adores her and it's all I can do to keep my mouth shut.

Most of the Forsaken are petulant brats and it annoys me because you'd think in thousands of years you'd get crafty but no. Just extra petty and useless.
