Yes, the Cosmere is something years in play. Every Sanderson fan should know about it. When Dragonsteel comes out, it will be highly relevant. Also the third Mistborn trilogy (Hoid will be a main character).

That's a great summary of Cosmere. I've been trying to put the pieces together for awhile but couldn't find a great summary in my spare time. Thanks for sharing Satrim!

The answer to this earlier question has probably already posted but I'll type it out again to be on the safe side:
Book one is called Way of Kings
Book two is called Words of Radiance
The title of Book Three is not yet released.
Thanks!

The Words Of Radiance had me on pins and needles over and over again. I really enjoyed reading it but the first book, Way of Kings, is the one I read over and over again!

I just finished Words of Radiance so I shall harass you with my thoughts. Haha. I've been at the beer, so excuse my spelling failures.

When you go buy the book, bring a backpack. It might be a little heavy :look:

It is! Just as big as WOT.

E-Readers? Nah, I prefer a good, reliable hardback book.

Same here. I went to ereaders (albeit a cruddy old Sony one), but I really need to physically turn the pages.

Just finished Words of Radiance last night - can't wait for Skybreaker next year! Such good series!

Oh and estimated release date is July 21st, 2016. You can find a part of the first chapter online already.

Yay! I only have a month for the new one to come out?

Not quite everything he's written is related, but I think all of his full-length adult novels are. (His YA and middle-grade stuff isn't related, and only some of his short fiction is.) The Coppermind wiki has a full list of the books that are related, here. I copied it below, but the formatting is rough so it's better to click the link.

Publication Title Series
2005 Elantris Elantris #1
2006 The Hope of Elantris Elantris #2
Mistborn: The Final Empire Mistborn (Era 1) #1
2007 The Well of Ascension Mistborn (Era 1) #2
2008 The Hero of Ages Mistborn (Era 1) #3
2009 Warbreaker Standalone
2010 The Way of Kings The Stormlight Archive #1
2011 The Alloy of Law Mistborn (Era 2) #1
2012 The Emperor's Soul Short Work
2013 Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell Dangerous Women Anthology
2014 Words of Radiance The Stormlight Archive #2
Sixth of the Dusk Shadows Beneath Anthology
2015 (forthcoming) White Sand Graphic Novel
Shadows of Self Mistborn (Era 2) #2
2016 (forthcoming) Bands of Mourning Mistborn (Era 2) #3
untitled The Stormlight Archive #3

Thanks so much for all that info!

Thanks!

It is massive. I'm not quite sure how they got 1303 pages in paperback without it exploding or something. They're really stretching the binding, the cover sticks up without me having to read it first. When I took it out of the box, I ended up cutting it (due to the cover sticking up). Then there was a defect in some of the pages.

Witness my destroyal (Is that a real word?) of the book which I haven't even started
http://i.imgur.com/JPcypwE.jpg (Sorry for the fuzziness, my laptop takes horrible pictures)

Don't worry, I won't let the book go to waste. I'll destroy it a bit more once I'm done with it. I really should stop buying paperback. :look:

OMG. I thought I was the only one. I got mine from the library, treated it gentle, and it blew up. Back cover fell off, side fell off. I don't even know what to do. I'll probably fix it with tape, pay the library for the book, but insist they put it on the shelf so others can enjoy it.

I FINALLY got my copy of Words of Radiance!! :joy After about two years of having only The Way of Kings I can finally continue the story!! :D

Congrats!

The working title of book three is Oathbringer.

Great title. Thanks!

Yeah, no, the release date has been pushed back significantly. First draft of Oathbringer is currently 58% done according to the official progress bar.

Blah. Thanks for the info, though. Gives me time to read everything else of his. Read the Mistborn books already.
Both series, so much to do with the weather.

Read the Mistborn books already.

I really want to, all I've heard is good news about it, buttttt I'm already doing a re-read of a series that is supposed to be having a new release towards the end of the year. Matthiew Reilly's Seven Ancient Wonders, Six Sacred Stones, Five Ultimate Warriors and the one I'm waiting on to be released, Four Legendary Kingdoms. I'm not sure what the series is called as a whole :scrath

Just started listening to the audiobook version of Way of Kings yesterday. I plan on listening a lot on my plane ride coming up :)

The female narrator's voice when she read dialogue bugged me for a lot of the audiobook before I finally got used to it and could tune it out. I'm curious if you find her voicing of dialogue to be jarring, also.

Turns out, both narrators do the WoT audiobooks. I do prefer the male narrator, but I knew what to expect :cheeseeni:

Ooh, so when I listen to the WoT audiobooks, I'll have to deal with her again. Ah well, I got used to her voice with the Stormlight Archive audiobooks; I can do it again.

I find Kate Reading way more irritating than Michael Kramer. Apart from anything else, she's incredibly inconsistent with her accents.

Did anyone else notice that Nightblood, the awakened sword from Warbreaker, showed up in the epilogue of the second Stormlight Archives book? :look: Or am I just going crazy?

Yep, its all part of the whole cosmere crossover thing going on in the Stormlight archive. Will be interesting to see where it goes though.
