I read the original series about a decade ago and finished up the subsequent releases as they came out. I had heard there was a graphic novel and was sort of hesitant to read them mainly because I was afraid an adaptation wouldn't represent the material properly. Well I got the first graphic novel book, all the way up to the point where Rand and company depart Emond's Field.
I LOVE THIS!
I really enjoy the art, especially Mat and Rand. I thought Perrin was simply alright, but it didn't bother me too much. I was in love with the way the artist chose to represent traveling, as well as the graphics illustrating the One Power from Moiraine. I was surprised to see them honor the book so much in the little details. There was a couple of things that were different of course, but nothing that made me rage as a huge fan.
I'm looking forward to getting the rest of them little by little. What did others think of it?
