I've had the same problem as well, though after checking on my tablet, it seems to only be a problem when I'm on my computer. :scratch I have no idea what it is, but I've tried switching between signavatar and grumpybumpers as well and all my sigs are hosted on photobucket. What kinds of changes is photobucket planning? Will it not allow linking anymore?

Kassina, if it's only an issue on your computer (and presuming your tablet's on the same home network), have you tried any/all of the following:

1) Clearing your cache and cookies (you'll need to re-login to TV.net etc), then pressing CTRL-F5 to refresh the page and get a new copy from the server (obviously, with a rotator, you'd want to try the last several times...)
2) Trying it in a different browser than you usually use (e.g.: MSIE instead of FireFox, Chrome instead of Safari, etc etc)
3) Rebooting the computer

Thanks for the suggestion. It does seem to work on Chrome. Must be something with Firefox then. :cheeseeni:

Thanks, though! It's good to know it's just my browser and nothing wrong with the rotator or anything. :)

Ary, it's probably (as Elo mentioned) your cache... your computer just sees your signature and displays the last one loaded.

Oh, and if you're looking for easy image hosting, imgur.com is really really really friggin useful.

Caching is your most-likely culprit; I'm on a tablet at the moment, but there's likely a setting in your Ffox preferences to always refresh. I'll see if I can find the exact setting name and where it's located, if you like. What OS are you running, and which version of Firefox?

Mmmkay. Here's the page on Mozilla, but this is the relevant bit:

1) Click Firefox button at the top of the window
2) Select "Options"
3) Click "Advanced"
4) Click "Network" tab
5) Under "Cached Web Content", check the box next to "Override automatic cache management"
6) In the box to "Limit Cache to", type 0.
7) Click the "Clear Now" button in the same section
8) Quit Firefox, making sure to exit all browser windows completely
9) Re-launch Firefox

That should be good to go; it'll stop storing things locally and get you fresh copies from the server you're accessing each time you load pages. Note, if you're on a slow connection, this can cause pages to be slower to load! If you're on broadband (cable, dsl, etc), though, you should be fine.

If you're still having trouble after this, we can start poking your about:config, but messing about in there when it isn't needed can cause more problems. :)

Clearing the cache didn't fix the problem sadly. However, it is a Firefox problem. I'm on google chrome right now, and I can see my sigs just fine.

I'm in the same boat. Still doesn't work. :\ It's definitely a Firefox thing, though.

I have heard that Chrome is better than Firefox and I do like Chrome, but I've never felt like transferring all my bookmarks over to Chrome so the switch hasn't happened. :p

Boo Firefox for being lame. :balefire

I also am too lazy to switch browsers if this is the problem.

I'm using Firefox, and I see things fine. :look:

I'm going to leave this to Azi though, since he volunteered. :D

Ah, figured it out. Ary it looks like some of your random sigs are redirecting to the photobucket image page rather than the actual image. I know photobucket has changed some stuff recently, so try updating your grumpybumpers' sigs to use the "Direct Link" from photobucket, or uploads your sigs somewhere else (imgur is a good site)

:scratch I thought my signavatar links were to the photobucket image. I may have to look at that, though, if that could be the problem.

Edit: Okay, some of my sigs are loading now, but not all of them. How do I tell if they're linked to the photobucket page rather than the image itself?

Just tested them all and they do all seem to be links to the images themselves. I've cleared my cache and they're still not appearing on Firefox for me. :( Only a couple of them are and not all the time.

Yeah, this is really weird. It's not Firefox's fault, though, not wholly. Photobucket is (sometimes) sending back a 302 redirection to tell the browser to actually go to <imgurl>.html (the image page).

Your best solution is to re-host the images on another host. Again, imgur is really simple to use (you can even just copy/paste the links from photobucket and it'll copy them over).
