Question about post display

Is there a way to disable direct post preview at the place where we type it?

For example if I put and image it won't display tags but image itself in the field where I write the post. It might be useful to some people but it also makes it impossible to copy message with tags since it never displays them and it also makes [code] tag not work.

To summarize is there a way to enable html tags to be seen when writing/editing posts?

If you want to use just a plain editor where you have to type in the tags (And where code can be copy/pasted back and forth), click on the little a/A button on the far left of the toolbar at the top of the reply box. That will take you to "Source mode" which does what you want.

I'm curious, and feel free to :trout me if this was covered already or elsewhere, but is there a way to disable the summary when one hovers over a thread? I find it distracting, annoying, and sometimes it prevents me from clicking on the page number of a multipage thread, needing me to wave the mouse/cursor around until the fly over message is not obstructing the link. I've checked settings but did not see it listed. Thoughts?

You know, I never even noticed that because I never really thread hover. I either go in or completely ignore it.

And I'm not sure! But I'll look into it.
