Hello! I remember your previous peeps in here. It is good to see you return, though I have to echo Cerise's wondering.

Also, a small tip: generally we try to stay away from multiposting. While I know you've seen the "reply with quote" button, to its right you have another button that allows you to quote several posts at once. Just go down the list, check every post you want, and when you are done, hit "reply with quote". :pleased-1:

If you have any questions whatsoever, there are a bunch of people - myself included, of course - who would be willing to help you out.

I do hope you stay this time around!

Thanks for the welcome, Luna Sedai, and for the tip about combining multiple posts. :) I've never been on a forum with that capability. I see more buttons to the right after clicking "Go Advanced", but all they seem to do is bring up code, html, and php tags. Should I provide a screen capture?

I'm happy to explain more fully, and even noted so in my application. I just didn't think I would need to in such a public setting. I'm not putting on a roleplay to garner mystery and intique, but would still prefer to talk about it a bit more privately if at all possible. Maybe another's hearing would put my mind at rest regarding it all, and I would feel more comfortable sharing here.

Firstly, I advise that you read the stickied threads in the Introductions forum: How to Become a Full Member, and New/Need Help? Check here! There are a lot of very useful things that you need to know all written in there. (There are also screenshots of how to multiquote.) And of course, there is the Membership Manual that explains everything in even more detail. I would strongly recommend you read that, too - at least the parts concerning your rank at first.

Once you have been made Citizen, you will have an option of private messages, as opposed to the visitor ones, so we can talk more in depth then, if you find yourself still willing. :) As for being made Citizen in the first place, aside from having 25 posts, you will have to have a surname and an avatar. I see you already have the latter, and while I can see a vague human outline, I'm not sure how well it'll go with the application...

Ahh... I see the icon you were referring to now, Luna Sedai. Thanks for pointing me back to the stickied threads as I completely missed the images within the spoiler code. I will email the Mayor with a surname now, and will be on the lookout for another avatar in case my current one doesn't fulfill the requirement. :)

The links Luna Sedai mentioned are really helpful
when u hit the Forum button up top it takes u to the Forums and Library boards with the Forums we can see so far, including Introductions, Ask the White Tower, Discussion Halls. More boards with more forums appear once we achieve citizenship and for each level of membership. There's conversation threads in Ask the White Tower for almost everything. How to change your font colour. Using bold text. Where to find different info.
The sticky threads at the top of each forum have important links hints and some of them have mini indexes for most common questions
*whispers...its too much to read in one hit so I kept the Membership_Manual open on a second page so I could switch between the site and the Manual*

Great information, thank you! By the way, did I do the multi-quote thing correctly? As I mentioned before, I've never been on a forum with this particular function.

It worked yay. That was a wahoo moment for me when I got the multi quote to work. Well done :) I'm not the most technical person at the best of times so my navigating around the site usually comes with sound effects 'ahhh where'd it go' 'putt putt putt' and various other interesting mutterings

**waves** Hello, everyone. :)I'm a "former graphic designer/front-end web developer turned wannabe ceramicist and illustrator who is interested in incorporating classic crafting materials (paper, fabric, thread, etc.) into contemporary applications.".

I LOVED the way you described this. I started out a traditional painter and soon became unhappy with working with just one medium. Even now, working in mixed media I am feeling a little limited. I really want to incorporate more textiles, sewing, fabric, etc. into my pieces, but I usually work quite large. It's wonderful that you work in ceramics, my god that's so much harder than it looks. I'd love to see some of your work.

Welcome, welcome! I am so pleased you are here! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or just want to chat!

Thank you, Mother and Maibella Sedai. :)

Oh wow, I admire you already. I cannot paint. In fact, more paint ends up on me than on canvas, and that summer college class ended up being my least favorite. heh :S My mind is blown by the simplest watercolor paintings. Maybe I'll give it another chance once I am able to control its digital cousin, but that will be well into the distant future. :) I'll be sure to look for your avatar and eventually post some pictures over in the Fine Arts Discussion board. I'm still a ceramics n00blette, though, so not sure how soon those pictures will arrive either. :pleased-1: Thanks for the welcome in the meantime. :)

Welcome to the site :D I'm glad you could join us.

Have you given any thought to a surname? I'm not trying to rush you, I just love names. :D I love how you put together your first name using character names. Are you thinking of doing something similar for your surname?
