It doesn't rain but it pours- I'm once again saddened to lose another member of my team to the RL monster. Aryawnah Sedai has been serving as our Director of Community Outreach for almost 3.5 years now, and will be sorely missed in Admin.
Which, of course, means we're looking for another Director- here's the deets!
Requirements-
-- Must currently be a Senior Member for at least one year and be in good standing.
-- Must be knowledgeable about philanthropic/charitable organizations and endeavors.
-- Must be a hard-working, driven, and creative self-starter. This position will be doing a lot of coming up with new ideas, implementing and motivating our members to participate.
-- The ability to adhere to a set schedule and firm deadlines is necessary- this department handles our annual fundraisers, Outreach endeavors and the RJ Memorial scholarship, which must all be completed within specific timeframes.
-- Tact and discretion are a must.
-- Provide regular reports to the Keeper and Amyrlin on the status of projects.
-- Must be able to access the boards, or at least email, on a regular basis. This position handles many of our signature efforts in the Wheel of Time community and, while big events are cyclical in nature, attention to their execution times is critical to their success.
-- Have a passion for the philanthropic efforts of our community. We want you to dream big and motivate us all to achieve those dreams!
Duties-
-- Expect to spend at least 5-10 hours a week performing duties related to this Department's functions, more when scheduled events are in progress
-- Handle the selection and training of admins and staff in your Department
-- Keep track of all of our community’s philanthropic efforts in terms of progress during fundraisers and drives, and who participates when applicable.
-- Help plan and execute all of our community’s philanthropic efforts including fundraising, scholarship, Feast of Lights, pop-up charity drives, etc
-- Be on the lookout for new charities and ways of giving back to our community, online and offline.
-- Be available for quarterly Admin meetings.
-- Be flexible and able to handle/work around emergencies.
-- Work to broadcast and advertise our philanthropic efforts via the Outreach Activities Team and any other available method, including collaboration with Marketing as applicable.
