The Servant of All team hereby issues a challenge to every member of Tarvalon.net.

We challenge you to become a hero in your community by participating in the April challenge.

The April challenge is to join together to help celebrate Earth Day on April 24th and discover how global TarValon.Net really is.

Earth Day is April 22nd. this year. It is a day to help your little corner of the world heal from the damage that humans to do it every day.

To some, Mother Earth is sacred. To others, the Earth is just the place we live. A whole host of emotion, thought exists in between. No matter how you view the Earth, the truth is that it is our home. For most of us, it will be the only planet that we have. As we do in our own houses, we need to keep it clean so that we can live.

On April 24th, we would like to see just how much of the Earth our Tower covers. We would like you to find a park, a stretch of highway, or some other area (nature trails, etc) to adopt for the day. On that day, Tweet or post a picture on Facebook of what the bags of trash you've picked up with the hashtag #TrashforTarValon and allow your photo to have a location tag.

If you do not have the mobility, or do not have the time to participate in this challenge, you can still help out.
The Grays have provided a link to an Earth charity near and dear to their hearts.

We focus on old refrigerants that are up to 10,900 times more potent than CO@, including choloflurorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrochloroflourocarbons (HCFCs). Controlling and destroying these gases in as essential element of the global strategy to prevent catastrophic climate change."

For those of us in the eastern portion of the US, @Alora Sionn pointed out on Discord that the first of this year's cicadas may be coming out around Earth Day ... *shudder* ... hopefully we can get some clean-up projects done before that happens!

Hi, all!
As we move into Earth Day around the globe, please don't forget that we will be celebrating on Saturday! I can't wait to see how much trash we take out!

Because of the cold snap most of you should be safe from the cicadas for a couple more weeks at least lol

Ugh, we have a busy road way outside our house and every winter trash from the road blows into our yard and freezes down. So every spring I have a mountain of road litter to clean out of my own front yard. I think I'll extend my trash pickup and clean up the biggest stretch of my own road that I can!

Out here in the country, we have a corner where everyone likes to drop trash. I think I'll get my kids involved and clean it up tomorrow.

I went and picked some trash near where I live. This year there's a lot more, as restaurants in Finland have been open only for takeaway, and thus there's an abundance of all kinds of containers, as people then find a park bench or something and eat their pizza there. And while there are a lot of trash cans, they are usually intended for smaller items, so cardboard boxes quickly fill them up or block them, and trash flies around.
I also learned a great way to pick used masks without touching them. For that, you need every five year old's favorite, a stick. More there are little knots from branches, the better, because then the mask stays put in the far end of the stick, when you pick it up from the ear loop. And then you can carry it like a flag, and dispose in a nearest trash can. I saw a news piece of granny, who had like seven of them in one stick!

That's awesome, Natalya! :D

My Saturday was rained out. :( I did start recycling though -- small stuff that's accepted at the local center. They're open limited hours, and it's kind of annoying to change my schedule to get their, but I wanted to do my part this month in honor of the challenge. So paper and cardboard were taken there this month.

I got my first COVID vaccine this Saturday so I definitely was not feeling up to doing anything

However, I do recycle regularly, and I'll go toss a coin to my Witcher, so to speak (aka donate) to help out!
